All these people that are saying glocks are the best haven't been around the gun scene. Glocks are good cheap guns you get what you pay for with a Glock, for the longest time they were called a disposable guns.  They have gotten better iver the years but are still not ranked up top. IMO and others that I have talked to Taurus are better guns than Glock just because they are a newer name people don't tend to think about them but they are very good guns I have a pt 1911 and it is the best out of the box shootin 1911 I have ever shot and the  many reviews done on them say the same

GLOCK . . .cheap gun?, get what you pay for?  nah, you're thinking of somethin' else, lol The only reason anybody called them disposable is they were one of the first polymer body pistols, they said the same thing about the AR-15 once upon a time . .. PLASTIC GUNS!, WHAT?  Glock pioneered the polymer pistol design and has been imitated by many major manufacturers, S&W M&P, springfield XD, for a couple. That's sayin somethin.

They are a good gun but they are not a great gun From what I have experienced they are not. I have never owned one but know many that have. It seem they are not as consistant and are not as accurate as other comparable guns but that just have been the shooters but it has been  different people with different glocks. I can tell you they will shoot and not jam up they are not picky guns when it comes to ammo.

I have a buddy of mine own a Kimber 1911 and he can only shoot one type of ammo out of it or it keeps jamming up and its been to the shop twice they say there is nothing wrong with it.

But all I was trying to say people are praising Glock but there are many other great guns out there.

Talking about plastic guns I have a FNH five/seven it was $1000 after taxes and all that but right now I have it sighted at 75yds at about a 2" +/-size grouping I am going to try it at 100yds maybe next time I go out. Its is a real fun gun. Its just amazing to me that a pistol can be that acurate at that range.

Yep, the ole pistola's can be accurate, i saw Ted Nugent's daughter who was about 10 at the time bustin bowlin pins at 100yds with a glock 10mm, Kinda strange about the kimber, i know i had a kel=tec at one time that would feed hollow points for nuthin till i polished the feed ramp. just wonderin, what caliber is ur FNH, I've been eye-ballin those for a while.  But I think i've got enought pistols for now, prolly next I'm gonna have to get me an AR-15 just in case Obama gets elected and starts bannin everything he can think of.

Its a five/seven 5.7x28mm if your thinking about getting one sources tell me they are going to be taking it off the public market because all the rounds for it are basically amor piercing to an extent. I have had the Bass pro shop here in town tell me this, the on base gun counter tell me this, and a dealer at one of the gun shows we had here. So if you are thinking about getting one I would get them now. There are only 2 diff rounds available to the public the balistic blue tip and hollow point both are fnh round made by hornaday. Its an awsome gun the only thing it has a kinda big grip but my wifes 5'1 and she can shoot it but it does have a big grip, It hold 20rds and comes with 3 mags, its own cleaning kit its a top notch gun.

I will get my XD 45 in 17 more days when I get home from Iraq.  It was specially made for my unit in Iraq.  It comes with everything you see in the picture.  I also have a Benelli 9mm.  It is the best shooting gun I have ever owned.  I put over 800 rounds through it one day at the range and it never missed a beat.  I am sorry but I dont have any pictures of the benelli with me in Iraq but I will post some of it when I get home from Iraq.

I shoot a springfield XD 45 and I love it.  IMO I would use .45 no matter what because if your using it for personal protection and you actually have to use it, I would want it to put a huge hole in someone and not let them get back up.  And with a bigger caliber you don't have to be the best shot, because when your in the sintuation (it might not be spelled right but who cares) where you have to use it you'll be so nervous you wont be the best shot.  And don't pull the whole .45 is to big of a gun.  I have heard so many people say that.  Well the first time I shot a pistol it was my grandfathers government issued 1911 and I was 9 years old.

Im gonna have to be biased to Glock.  Out of all the pistols i have shot, a glock feels the best by far.  They are lightweight, durable, decently priced and are very easy to dissemble.  I had a Ruger 40 and a buddy of mine had a Glock 40. The diff in how they shot was amazing.  Somehow the glock had a lot less kick and they just feel great.  I also have had S&Ws before and they just seem to be overrated.  DOnt get me wrong.  They r great guns but nothing like a glock.  Glocks will always shoot. Whether dirty, wet or hot. Youtube it. im not lying.  Why do u think most police carry them? They also make so many diff calibers and frame sizes so u can definitley find the right size to fit u.  I recommend 9mm.  Yea yea some ppl say bigger is better, but i disagree.  If ur gonna be comfortable with a pistol u need to be able to handle it.  9mm gets the job done without kicking the crap outta ya.  A caliber with lots of kick just isnt as accurate unless ur a very very experinced shooter.  Also 9mm is lots cheaper to shoot if ur gonna shoot recreational.  But if u do go otherwise in caliber i also like 40 cal or 10mm.

Also, if ur looking for a good ol fun to shoot plinking pistol, I absolutely recomment the Walther P22.  It is by far THE BEST .22 cal pistol u can buy for just shooting on a regular basis.  They look great, are fairly easy to field strip and from my experience wont jam.  I have shot no less that 800rds threw mine with cheap wal mart bulk ammo and i havent had a jam yet ( i swear).  That is very unusual considering how dirty 22 ammo is.  U can get a brand new P22 for about 280 bucks if u bargain shop. U can also get some accesories made by Walther to go on it.  A laser $110, and 5in barrel $100 i think.

I highly recommend these two guns.  The one gun i have never shot but have heard lots of great things about is a Kimber.  They r highly priced but what 1911 style frame isnt?  U might wanna check those out if u wanna spend over $1000 on a gun. Good luck

I got a Ruger Blackhawk .44 MAG and Ruger P95 9mm. Wife has a S&W "Lady Smith" .357. Oh, and I got a big ole H&R .22 or.22 MAG, depending on what cylinder I have in it. Mostly .22 MAG.
