Trapper -> Mud Hole Guidelines...Read Before You Post (6/19/2007 7:27:13 PM)

This forum was set up for discussions that are not directly
related to ATVs. The Mud Hole is NOT a free-for-all
area where anything goes, nor should it serve as a chat
room. This is a family-based discussion area. Anything that
cannot be discussed with an 8 year old does not belong here.
Any thread/post found to be in violation of the following
guidelines will be deleted/locked without notice. The
staff reserves the right to change/amend these rules
at any time.
Forum Acceptable Use Policy
Is located at the bottom of each H/L forum page.

Regarding Political/Religious Topics
While it is the purpose of the High Lifter site to
encourage the exchange of ATV information, it also
has the purpose of being entertaining. The Mud
Hole section of the forum provides members a venue
for a vast array of topics, many of a personal nature.
Consequently, it is one of the most difficult and time
consuming sections of the forum to moderate.
From now on, there will be no religious/political
threads allowed in the forum. These types
of threads often end up being carried out between a
handful of members, and therefore can best be handled
via PMs or email. Having said that, members should be
aware that regardless of this new rule, High Lifter
continues to supports it's members who seek counsel
or prayers from fellow forum members/ATVers. As
always, these types of threads are welcome in the Mud
Hole.
Regarding Word Game Threads
These threads are not allowed.
Regarding Personal Attacks/Bashing
Like the rest of the forum, there is no room in the Mud
Hole for personal attacks/bashing.
Regarding Links To Media
Double-check any links before putting them up. There
should be NO nudity or profanity in the
vids/pics.
Regarding Text Size In Signature
The size of some members TEXT in their signature
has become to large and taking up to much space on the forum
and to be fair to all the size of text in all members signatures
will now only be restricted to no larger than size "3".
There will be no exceptions to this rule and those that are not in
compliance with this rule will have their Sigs changed for them.
Regarding Joke Threads
Joke threads are not allowed..
Regarding Personal "Shout-outs"/two person conversations
It should go without saying...the Mud Hole is not a chat room.
Conversations between two or three people can best be held in
the chat room or via PMs.
Regarding The Kiddies
The Mud Hole was not created as a venue for the high school
set to discuss their dating habits, social life, or various
drinking stories.
Regarding Sexual Discussions
Sexually explecit material including pictures and discussions
are not allowed and will be deleted immediately.
Regarding Threads Pertaining To Moderator Actions
These are not allowed. Any needed clarification of a moderator
action should be sought via PM's. The Mud Hole is not a suggestion/
complaint box. Please feel free to PM one of the staff with any
concerns/problems with the forum.
Regarding URL's In Posts And Signatures
It has come to our attention that many High Lifter Forum Members are, unknowingly, using the forum as a means to advertise for other websites and businesses that are in the ATV product retail business. High Lifter spends a considerable amount of money to provide this forum to it's members as a courtesy, a way for our customers to communicate with each other to share ideas, information, and riding techniques...and our way of saying "thanks" for being a loyal High Lifter customer.
However, recently, this issue has gotten out of hand and forced forum management to make a blanket statement concerning web-links. In an effort to not single out any one business, industry, or website, links to ATV RELATED RETAIL WEBSITES or websites that regularly sell ATV accessories, modifications, or other products will no longer be allowed to appear in any form on the High Lifter Forum in posts and/or signatures. Please refrain from including URLs in your posts or signatures to any website of this type. The High Lifter forum moderators will immediately delete URLs fitting these descriptions in the future.
Moderators will delete any of these URL's without warning or notification.
