i pulled both the front and rear plastic off of the 700h1 since it was the first one i did just to check everything out and run everything the best route possible. it was possible to do it with them on, but it would have taken alot longer. i also pulled the fuel tank to take care of the belt exhaust since they moved it from the top of the belt housing to the lower rear. that was a pita.

I have never pulled off the plastic to run snorkels, dont take any longer IMOP and that way you know where you can run it with out the plastic hitting it.

ive done snorkels on three different bikes one being my 08 650 h1 and i took both front and rear plastics off because it was the first one i ever did if i had to do it again wouldn't take them off its so much easier to get them all lined up when your done if you leave them on cause i did my cousins suzuki and a honda and both i left the plastics on them so much easier when it comes to the end....drumz those where some fancy bends on that belt snorkel looks very clean fine was a little less bendy but that belt exhaust was definately the hardest one on the bike it was a pain in the @$$ what kinda rubber hose is that you are running off of the exhaust it looks real thin and easy to work i had to fabricate a connector out of a 2" to inch and a half reducer with tadpole tape that hooked up to the factory rubber grommet but i used a hose clamp and some silicone and it works perfect but i might change it for extra security if i can get a hold of that rubber hose you used it looks really plyable oh yeah and i bet you spent probably close to twenty bucks just on those brass 90's for radiator hose i bought a plastic one and it was like $6 rip off

thanks h-town,
the rubber hose was the factory boot on the rear exhaust that i cut in half and slid the 2" street 90 into. i tried several things but it just seemed to work the best. thse brass 90s were 5 bucks each at lowes. i figured that way i dont have to worry about them getting brittle and breaking later on.

Allright, so no instructions or pics for a tcat??   I would like to know if most people are relocating their oil cooler or leaving it in its stock locations.  Doesnt it need to be behind the fan??  What all do I need to extend?  Are yall leaving thoes vents on your diffs or replacing them with hose?  I dont trust them but have never had one.  Also, are yall leaving the gas vent like it is witht he check vent???  I dont know if I like thoes either, how do you route the gas vent up?  all the way under then up? lol  Sorry just want to make sure I do it RIGHT the first time.  I probably had 1000$ easy in snorkels in my kodi.  dont wantto do that here!!!  Thanks to all!!!

I have never had a isssue with the vents on the diffs or waht ever there called.
I would run the gas tank vent up to your snorkels its not one way like you would think it it..

I still ride Old School, and have just recently got into muddin.  I already snorkeled my exhaust, but need ideas on the air.  I have a 2001 AC 500 Manual.  Has anyone ever snorkeled a bike like this one.  I want to but need some ideas on getting started.  The air intake comes up right under the seat all the way to the gas tank.  There's not much room.

Thanks for the help/suggestions in advance.

Materials for SNORKEL AND WATERPROOFING:
12 ft. sch 40 PVC 2"
one small piece of 3" pvc
one reducer 3" to 2"
A BUNCH OF STREET 90s, 45s, and 60s
A BUNCH OF regular 90s, 45s, and 60s
PVC Primer and GLUE.
Plumbers GOOP
Magic Seal TAPE
RTV SILICONE

Tranny INTAKE:
Remove stock snorkel. leave the first rubber fitting on the tranny.
Slide 3" into stock cuppler. Then reduce it to 2"

Manuver with the bends up to where you want.

TRANNY EXHAUST:
Loosen the stock snork. Place a piece of straight up to it and see where you want to cut. I cut probably 3 inches off my stock snork. Insert the straight, clamp it and start runnin up to the front. I started here

AND FINISHED LIKE THIS

AIR BOX:
SIMPLE!!!!!! 2 street 45s and a straight!

REMEMBER WITH Your RADIATOR UP, you have 7 1/2 inches to work with inbetween the oil cooler lines! AND thats all the room you have comming up threw the hood. Take your time and get it how you like!!

If you have any questions feel free to ask, also I've got a ton more pics here. Just hit next.
http://s257.photobucket.com/albums/h...t=IMG_5767.jpg

WATPROFFING YOUR TCAT

Di Electric grease ALL YOUR PLUGS!!!!! and fuses.

The Airbox has 2 drains. They can be eaisly pluged with the 5/8s piece

then use plumbers GOOP and seal them in.

STATOR COVER. Take a flat head. and pry out the rubber stator cover

Silicone around the entire thing and replace it. ALSO, TAPE IT. lol I used some nascar heat tape. Just put an X over it to make sure it doesnt come out.

Crank Breather.

THIS THING NEEDS SMALLER HOSES.
I pulled the little black airbox that has two hoses goin into it and one into the airbox. RTV SILICONE it real good and replace them. When I pulled my plastics, they were all disconnected. I hope the silicone works...

4x4 actualtor

THIS IS BAD TO LEAK. Pull it off and run a bead of RTV around it and put it back together!
