The set up GWC has is the same setup as Purp mt 450 has on his 03. And it works very well. It alldepends on how/whay you want.

Thanks guys.  That setup looks REALLY NICE too.  But I think I will just stick with keeping the airbox and running one pipe.

well i sure wish i had some u experts here today! when i was tryin to finish snorkeling my h1...
well i used the parts list but i guess im not good at this cuz it didnt work.
first i did the tranny top and it went well until the top where it a 90 and from there u run it as high as u want it,welll i must have messed it up cuz the 90 aims it forward so i used a 45 which worked well so i think it will work.
then i was doin the tranny bottom and i looked at the pic on the first page but where my 3-2 reducer comes off it wont go behind that bar between the bar and the front drive shaft,so went to the outside but if i turn sharp to the right the tire would catch it so im trying to find a better way to do it now.
well can anyone tell me how to get that rubber reducer to fit behind that bar?
i will post a pic of it and what im talking about in just a sec!
thanks for any help.

i used the stock one and stuck a 3" pipe in it then used the 3' to 2" reducer,it does hit the frame but sense its rubber it should be just fine and has been for a year...

ok yellow is the bar i cant get it behind, blue is the stock boot and green is the 3=2 reducer.
i did what u said and connected the to by  using 3 in thin wall sewer drain, but havent figured out how to get it behind the bar.

and heres where all 3 are coming up at the moment,i no it will probably be different if i can get the tranny intake behind that bar.

you need to go behind the bar,i used a straight peice of pipe, got behind the bar then turned it. it was TIGHT but it did go..also if you put your 90*s to turn up at diffeent heights from one another it will give you more room to work with, the little lip on the pipes add up and make it to tight..

if i put a 3" engine intake snorkel on it....will it be too much air flow?

because if i put a 3" i would get one of those K&N knockoff filters from autozone and put on there

i just looked at the pics up there and realized that mine goes in side that bar and then back out on the other side and then up to the top so it might get hit by the tire and now that i think about it i dont think the fender well will go on it

yes.  if you are coming in behind the radiator in the middle, i put tape on the rack where the opening is, so i didnt have to cut the plastic, and put just the rack back on as a guide. also you dont have to cut the bar on the rack, imo doesnt give any more room and looks much cleaner. I tried to do GWCs thing, couldn't make it work, so kinda did my own thing, looks good. so GWCs instuctions are more like guidlines cause everybodys different.   also i used flex pvc on my belt intake cause it was easy.    MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CLEARANCE ON EVERY THING! also zip ties are your friend ohh and glue lots-o-glue......    and since you are that far in it might as well relocate the radiator......also makes snorklin easier.....  really easy to do as well........        1 day casually w/ some beer drinkin........       just add weldin mosheen and some 1.5" angle.

well i jsut resnorkeled my belt intake cuz my ty rod was hitin it...
but now it works perfect but i also couldnt get the directions too work
so i did my own thing and when i was talkin to my grandpa he thought about flex hose but i told him everyone couldnt find(atleast everyone i talked to,in 2' that is)and he went and looked in the barn and found a old water pump and the intake hose was 2' flex hose so i used it on my belt intake and im done and water proof finally!!!
