Trapper -> Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (1/27/2007 5:04:49 PM)

Needless to say, it is getting crowded with sticky's in here so
I'm going to try this for awhile.  I'm placing the current sticky'd
threads into this one thread.  We'll see how this works out and go
from there.

superbogger750 -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (1/27/2007 5:08:25 PM)

Great idea.

mudcrazee -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (1/27/2007 5:10:00 PM)

You have the Power.[:D][;)]

Trapper -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (1/27/2007 5:11:25 PM)

Glad you guys approve...it was just getting to be too much
stuff at the top.  If it doesn't work out we'll try something
else.

flynt -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (1/27/2007 5:23:59 PM)

Thanks that's awsome. I was getting tired of all the stickeys! LOL!

Trapper -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (1/27/2007 5:26:33 PM)

LOL, blame me...I think I'm the one that pinned most of 'em
up there. [:D]   [image]http://www.fullsizebronco.com/forum/images/smilies/twak.gif[/image]

SSTOGI -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (1/27/2007 5:43:21 PM)

Good deal Trapper......

bruteallmighty05 -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (1/27/2007 5:45:33 PM)

Good idea now more room for other post on the first page.

BRmudder -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (1/28/2007 10:35:48 AM)

Thanks for doing that. I'm currently working on my front end and found three post that hopefully you consider sticking in there:

A-Arm Bushing

After being on here for years,  it's funny to see alot of the same questions being asked (0f course I've probably done it too), but it IS nice to see this new post for people to search first instead of starting a new thread. Thx!

kam -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (1/28/2007 11:50:59 AM)

I've read all of these and still find myself asking questions for answers I should know. But as we progress and us "new" kawi owners start modding, we need to find the info again. This will make it easier, and it won't be so cluttered.

Guest -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (1/28/2007 3:40:33 PM)

Sounds good trap, it makes it alot easier and "cleaner" in here to have more room.

shife -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (1/29/2007 7:10:24 AM)

Agreed, great idea man looks tons better! [:D]

Trapper -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (2/3/2007 11:22:56 AM)

Haven't forgotten about this thread folks...PM me your thoughts on
maybe categorizing some of the important stuff.  Maybe link some
of the important threads under heads like "electronics", "suspension",
"jetting", etc....

Don't post here...just PM me a link.  Thanks, guys!

mudcrazee -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (2/24/2007 8:07:06 PM)

It does not appear that people are noticing these post anymore Trap. [:-]

Trapper -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (2/25/2007 9:23:46 AM)

Let 'er ride!  I see lots of hits so someone is looking...I just gotta
get a spare freaking minute to update it with the other links.

Only reason I say so, is that in the last 2-3 weeks, I have had to attach the belt reset post to several peoples posts, buss connector thread to several peoples post and belt tightening one also. It's almost like people do not notice the over inflated top anymore LOL.[:D]

You know I'm not complaining Trapper, I love to help people, just does not make much sense having all the info and they don't see it in plain site.[:)][:D][;)]

Simple solution to this Mary. Copy and paste the URL of this message (whole thread) to that post where someone is asking about it, telling them to check the pinned topics at top. Once done, click on the report to mod link, request lock message due to duplicate posting of same covered material.

This  works well. I am on another forum with with several hundreds of thousands of members. The duplication of posts is unreal! Someone will post a link to a stickied thread, request lock and bam, its done. Also, on that same forum, there is a tool named MACROS. In this tool, you can setup six different pre-typed posts, so that when replying to the same ol stuff, you just click macros, and click the one you want, and its done. No retyping, etc. Very helpful for links to controlled topics.

dixon1973 -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (4/22/2007 9:52:40 PM)

 the first day i got my bf 750 (07) model, i installed muzzy system, moose module, playing around popped a wheelie, came down shut off, when i started the motor back up, oil smoke came out bad, i just knew it blew something, but somehow oil got into top of air box , like blow by, and filled carbs with oil drenched filter, cleaned it up, has not done it since. any ideas of what could have caused it, i figured to much power and only two hours and seven miles on engine, i was scared i blew the motor, but ,took it to the lake bottom yesterday and it ran fine, it seems to have a little miss when going at a slow speed , but man , when you hit it, it hauls _ss![;)]

mudcrazee -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (4/22/2007 9:57:09 PM)

Usually when you get them new, the service tech can get a little carried away and overfill the crankcase with oil. With the threads screwed all the way in, your oil should be just above the halfway mark on the stick. Riding wheelies will puke oil into the airbox if your oil is overfull and you ride wheelies for extended periods because the crankcase vent is in the airbox.[:D]

Jon, I'm working on this thread this week.  I'll be pruning
some of the responses and adding to the links.  Shoot me
a PM and we'll try to get it better organized or make any
changes.

Here is a good thread for guys that are running snorkels and experience gas in their oil when hauling...It has some good info on how to fix this problem and how to install a gas shut off valve...

brutedoggin -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (1/26/2008 8:46:59 AM)

gotta Question for any that knows alot about the brute force.  i am having a problem with my brute starting.  i was playing in  hole the other day and the 5th time i went through it   it died on me. well we pulled it out and it would turn over but it was like it would not turn over fast enough. did not get water in the intake or motor.  checked for the corrosion problem no corrosion.  even took the spark mplugs out and turned the engine over it was good there.  have no clue what its could be. if you can help me i would really appreciate that thank you.

fatcat 650 -> RE: Important Threads For Kawi Owners...Quicklinks (3/6/2008 12:23:10 PM)

 I think there should be something in here about the ground clearance fix on the 08 brute with the 07 brute hl springs.
