If you are having trouble signing into chat,check these few things first.

1.Click on control panel
2.Click on My Profile
3.Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and you will see a box for cookies.Check that box so that your cookies are saved.

If that doesnt work try and download the newer version of Java.

http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

*You may have to uninstall the current Java program from your computer before upgrading to the newest version. Go to Start/Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs.**

There are also some known issues invovling the chat applet with certain browsers that ISP are providing (such as the Yahoo! version of Internet Explorer). The only way that I am aware of to access the chat is to use the standard IE or to use FireFox.

Every time I log into chat I'm always the only one there. Is it actually because I'm the only one logged on to chat or am I doing something wrong??

jwmullins79 -> RE: Getting in chat (8/1/2007 7:29:25 PM)

I haven't had a problem with Chat since I downloaded the new Java program.  And was even in there earlier this afternoon, however am experiencing difficulty getting in now.  The only thing I am gettin is a red X in the top left corner.  I've already rechecked my cookies selection, and all, so I am at a loss as to what to do now.

Bradley Noble -> RE: Getting in chat (8/5/2007 9:44:03 PM)

I am getting the red X now jw...I was getting in fine before but it doesnt seem to work now...I am downloading java again and going to see if that helps...

Must have been a problem either on Highlifter's end, or with the ISP it'self.   I ain't done nothing different, and am back in today.  SO ain't gotta clue what was goin on.  Hopefully your problem will work it'self out as well.

jwmullins79 -> RE: Getting in chat (8/24/2007 6:28:13 PM)

I am having this problem again!  But Sis ain't, and we on the same connection.  Anyone know what's goin on??

MuddnMason -> RE: Getting in chat (8/25/2007 8:32:31 AM)

It is a problem on your computer. The java applet is not loading properly. Try downloading an updated copy of java, run it and try again.

RubiconMon -> RE: Getting in chat (8/29/2007 2:52:57 PM)
