yours is green from the factory. mine was that ugly grey color so I had to paint it. the colors match up pretty good. that colorwas the only dark green that they had in Krylon Fusion plastic paint.

I noticed on your pic that it appears to not have the fender extensions on it. Did you take those off, or did it not come with them.

no I took them off cause hey were ugly. I had to cut the bottems of the rear ones so that I could attach the fenders to the floor boards. I am gonna eventually finish out the front fenders with aluminme or something I just had time and that is not number one priorty on it.

I found that pic a Google image search, so I do not know who owns it.

You have started something though, because I have a Kimpex front bumper on the way for mine, and I am going to mount 2 headlights in the location that you did. Here is a pic of the Kimpex bumper.

be sure and what ever lights you get are sealed. I am running some rubber housing with sealed lens lights. I believe that you can get them at tractor supply.

Ive got a kodiak motor in the big bike that i built I used it because of the awesome low gearing. I put a big bore in it with cam and a few other goodies.  I am having trouble with the electrical system. no spark. I have been fooling with it for 4 weeks now and no luck.  I am about to go crazy trying to figure out what went wrong.

All the motor mods are for a Big Bear 350/warrior/wolverine.  The head and cylinder are identical with the exception of more fins on the cylinder since its a 400. The big bore is a powroll 365 kit for a 350.  The piston will work making the kodiak a 403cc.  The cam is a webcam 88 grind for a 350 also.  As long as you dont get into the bottom end on the older yamahas the cylinder/head is basically all the same.  If there is a performance mod for a Kodiak/BB/Wolverine/warrior/raptor it will work as long as its the top end parts and some bottom end but very few.

oh ok becasue I bored mine to a 399cc with a 84mm piston for the kodiak. and I asked the dude at the shop that did my machine work if any other cam would work and he said no. well i might be gettting me a cam then. did it help alot? do you notice a big difference like you do with the mudbusters in big bores? **** says that they have a cam for a air cooled 400 kodiak but there are no specs on it.

your ccs should be more than 403. stock bore is 83mm and that piston for the powroll kit is a 85mm with a higher compreression. you get about 13cc for every mm. so you should be around 412cc.

if you have any welding abily you can save altot of money. for one a lift, a K&N, jet kit, snorkle, pipe, tires, lights under the front rack. and you can also do some motor mods if you want but you can turn 27s with just those mods right there.

also go ahead and gut the front brakes and take the backing plates off. this will help save your bearings. and there is also a little cable thingy that makes it where you cant go from high to low without pussing the foot brake. take that off. it is very anoying and you dont need it. because you can start going in low andd go through all 5 gears and then pop it up into high and it is like having a 6th gear.

Reason i say 403 is because a 350 is a 348 cc. the powroll makes it a 365.  That is 17 cc increase.  The 400 is a 386 cc stock. Add 17cc to that and you get 403cc. Thats how i got it. Peace

Using the formula for cubic centimeters (BORE/2= B X B X STROKE X 3.4161 / 1000) The cubic centimeters is actually 406cc with a 85mm piston.

83mm piston - 83/2= 41.5 X 41.5 X 71.5 X 3.1416 / 1000 = 386cc

84mm piston - 84/2= 42 X 42 X 71.51 X 3.1416 / 1000 = 396cc

85mm piston - 85/2= 42.5 X 42.5 X 71.5 X 3.1416 / 1000 = 406cc

To check the math take the 350cc , which is 83 X 64.5, and add a 85cc piston

85 mm piston - 85/2= 42.5 X 42.5 X 64.5 X 3.1416 / 1000 = 366cc
