How is everyone getting down to the Hatchies from the Staduim now? I haven't been out there since the Police cracked down on riding past the academy.

glad  to see  others  trying  to  help  keep   the trails  clean..  it   takes  a  lot  of  work  to  keep  them  clean, but  it only  takes  a few  to  mess  them  up ..

well the corp shut down riding at enid. THere is a sign at bynum boat landing that say use of atvs or off road vehicles prohibited. My father in law had a ticket on his truck when he got back from riding. Said if he got a 2nd it is a mandatory court appearance. Just call the corp dept. if you don't believe me. probably because of this rule constantly being broke.   (
(e) No person shall operate any vehicle in a careless, negligent or reckless manner so as to endanger any person, project property or environmental feature.
Thanks everybody who helped participate in getting our riding area shut down.

You're the one being a pud about it. Nobody called out everyone on the forum. He simply thanked those who ride like idiots and those people know who they are. Seems you sir have a guilty conscience. And to the employees of HIghlifter and the moderators....you should let posts like these stand. Everytime a riding area is shut down by morons it affects your buisness. I now have no use to by your equipment.

I just spoke with the Enid Corp of Engineers Office about the ATV ban posted on this thread by moldmaker1. The Corp of Engineers stated ATV use at Enid is permissable. However, the unloading and riding of ATVs' in recreation areas (camp grounds and etc.) is forbidden. They stated it is OK to park and unload at places like Lakeside and Love Joy. They are issuing citations to those who park and unload at places like Bynum Creek, Chickasaw Hills and etc. Therefore, if you go to Enid for a weekend ATV/camping trip you will have to haul your ATV from the camp grounds to an area like Lakeside or Love Joy to unload and ride.

Good info. But know this. I also talked to the CORP at the lake while they were patrolling on wheelers. They ARE talking about shutting it down because of the way people are riding. It is against FEDERAL regulations to ride any kind of a motorized vehicle in a waterway. I.E. a river. People are doing a whole lot more than just crossing the waterways.

Hey guys got a good sized group gonna try out the hatchies (maybe 15 bikes). Anyone wanting to ride with a good group of friendly folks willing to help anyone out of any hole they may have mis judged LOL, meet us around 12:00 at the stadium. Gonna give this a try, we always ride the pike or enid so this is something new. We look forward to meeting everyone. Look for me there - white Xterra and a blue brute force - ask for Craig. Will have the wife in tow :)

I really hope Enid is not shut down wife likes the laid back ride it offers, she says the pike is too rough on her. I have met some really nice folks from around the Batesville area down there before.

Well we rode the pike today and had a good ride going until we had to cut it short because my bud broke a G-axle on his griz... But when we got back to the truck it all got worse!!!SOMEONE BROKE IN MY FRIENDS D*** TRUCK!!! They stole 2 girl's cell phones, dvd player, sound system, 2 amps, cross over, capaciter, ipod, and his GPS!! The people that were parked next to us got broke into to! They got a i-phone, wallet, credit card, and debit card from them!!! Talk about a bad day!!!

Sucks that this happened...good luck on getting all your stuff back in order.

Heres something to think about.....when you ride....try not to have a truck full of electronics sitting in the bottoms. Thats a frickin gold mine to a theif! Especially these brothers around here that got to have bump in day trunk and 15 TVs in day ride scraight out da screet knowin day aint bought nuttin day creeped it. Leave your valuables at home. Thats like shoving cake in front of a fat kid and saying dont eat it. I take my cell phone and wallet, put them in a water proof container and put them in a storage box on my bike. They can break into my 06 RAM all day long and they will get nadda!

Just some food for thought....

Hey Wayne we rode the Hatchie Monday and I have to say that the trails were as clean as I have ever seen them. Good work to your crew and everyone else that has pitched in to help keep it clean.
