Thanks man. Yeah.............dont go ride out there. It was a waste of time but I live like 2 seconds down the road and I had just finished a clutch kit on a buddies brute so we wanted to test it out. It didn't take long to find trouble. It never does over there. We were planning on the bottoms this weekend but the forecast says otherwise.

nope we didnt do anything wrong. A "person" stopped a bunch of guys on the road, demanded money and took their drivers license. I had a problem with that, voiced my opinion with it. We called the popos to report the theft and they get there and ask me if I pointed an assualt rifle at the guy!!!! I dont even own an assualt rifle. I had my pistol on me which I am certified by the state to carry and it never left the holster. Need less to say my buddies got their money and DLs back. Now I just have to keep an eye out since the ******* knows where I live now. (he followed me after I gave him the bird) Havent heard anything about the "assualt rifle" yet. They said I probobly wont. I have my fingers crossed. Its a waste of everyones time.

Did you have a run-in with Tate?  He is 1 crazy SOB.  Were you riding on his land?

My friends have land that borders part of his.  We use to have problems with him, but he's been pretty good this past year since fewer people go there.

I ride sugarcreek and i have never had a problem there! They ask for a small $10.00 "donation" to keep the place going/maintinance which personally I think is very reasonable since they let you use their land for your enjoyment. I would be pissed too if someone was riding on my land without my permission and not contributing via a helping hand or some cash. Its a good place to take kids and let them safely put around or whatever plus you can leave your trucks unlocked and not have to worrie about people stealing you stuff, also if you obey the rules the POlice will not mess with you for riding there...

I'd like to see more places like Sugarcreek (bigger places). You never know when the City of Memphis or the Shelby County Government may decied to put a stop to us riding the bottoms!

Just for the record I called the police for theft of property. The altercation took place about a mile away from sugar creek and was on a public road. A donation isn't a donation if it is forced. I have seen "him" take ramps, traliors, quads, and even people's trucks before. I think it would be near impossible for anyone to attempt to stop people from riding at the bottoms. They tried to start blocking off entrances over in nutbush and that lasted a whole couple of hours. There are to man places to access it and until the popos start getting quads or bid 4x4s I don't see them attempting to hand out tickets.

Along that note though. I did see a tow truck loading up someones truck in the garden ridge parking lot sat night. I saw a few guys on quads watching. I'm not sure if it just broke down or one of the companies had it towed but I though I would throw that out there none the less.

Places to ride around here are pretty good. The Hatchies and the Bottoms compete with some of the "organized" places. Sugar Creek is a joke for utility quads. Watching the SCB jump the ramps is about the most fun you can have up there. I had a hand in getting Logan sponsored by a company I used to work for. The only time I have trouble is when he isn't around to tell Austin I'm with him. All the mud holes have dried up and the track is non existant now. Riding in the creek that is like 6" at its deepest point is only fun for so long. I only go up their to watch Logan and them practice for their shows or to test something I just put on my quad. I always go check in with Logan at the house but couldn't find him Sunday. Thats the only reason we had problems. I don't want anyone on here thinking I was taking advantage of anyone.

they  do   have  them-  both  atv's  and  some side  by  sides .  and  they  have  been  done at  the pike giving out  tickets  before  - this  has  happened  about  4  times  in the past  2 years  that  i know  of..

Those pictures sure do look like the top side of sugarcreek, my bad...I wasnt refering to you personally, that was just a general statement and strictly my opinion, not an attack on anyone or anything. Sometimes one has to pay to play is all im saying.

I havn't been out there in a while, but the tates have never been anything but nice to me and my people. I reckon im just speaking from my experiances there.

The Police force is big enough and they have the equipment....**** they could dose the place if they wanted too and drive the police cars down there!  All it would take is for the mayor, cheif of police or the coor of engineers too make it top priority on their list.

Well guys I rode at the hatchies for the first time on Sunday. We dropped in by the BP to the left of the bridge. The trail wasn't very long but I had a great time. There were some decent holes in the back. Those two hill climbes at the beggining are pretty crazy. We only ran into one other guy out there. No one riding this weekend?

I didnt make it out there this weekend, had to wait around for desoto honda to finish working on my motorcycle....Most people rode the hatchies saturday afternoon, went in at around 3 and rode into the night.

It should be a pretty good ride next saturday out there too...come on out!

there  are many  different  ways  to  ride  out  there  -  you  can also  ride  to  hwy14  from there  after  you  cross the bridge...

I think a few of us are doing a sunday ride at the bottoms. I'm not 100% on that yet. We will have to see how this rain plays out?!
