How much power do you lose on a 05 king quad by putting the swamp lites on. I am torn between mudlites or the swamplites. Anybody had both

Pics of my 26" in my sig! I have had mine in deep mud and they do awsome, I was at a rally and at on of the big mud holes, only guys with outlaws were making it threw everytime. I waited for them to pull a quad out that was stuck picked my line and hoped I wouldn't be getting pulled out, to my surprize they worked extreamly well, I even had guys come over to see my bike after that. The only tires that worked better were the outlaw guys while I was there, those 29.5 are crazy in the mud!! It was thick soupy mud, not sure how deep but it was deeper then my 26" tires. I also played in some straight rutted out type holes and only got stuck one time and had to be pulled out, only becuase I bottomed out across most of the frame and couldn't get the tires to hit the bottom. They are great tires and the ride smoother then my bros Super Grips which are a mud lite copy exactly.
I did lose some take off power, but I am getting a clutch kit soon to make up the difference. Overall very worth it to lose a little speed for the great ride and mudding ability.

Love mine. Very smooth and work well. Dig to much to use in sandy conditions. The next all around super tire!

Well I went riding today. Wished I could find some mud. I did find some mud at the edge of a lake and that is about it. As far as hard packed, these tires are very smooth riding without a doubt. I did venture into the edge of the lake to see what they would do, and the Griz just turned it on and the Swamplites just ate the mud/water up. It really wasn't a test for my machine and these tires. I am going to have to wait for some rain to see how they really do. Overall I am very impressed, and am glad I went with the 27's. I like them.

What ACTUAL tire sizes are you guys seeing for the 26s and 27s (measure horizontally...not ground up)

I get 26" on mine with condor 4 wheels. The front are 9 wide and the rears are 11 wide, they are 26x10 and 26x12 tires, so height is good width it a little off.

I am liking my swamplite's so far...just been running on some farm roads and in a dry rice field but they ride very smooth. Hopefully the farmer will flood the fields before longa nd I can get some mud on the new ride.

How about a comparison between the mst's and the swamplites? How do they compare on hardpack and of course mud and I know its too early but I would really like to know how these two do in the snow.
Thanks in advance.

Has any one tried the 28 or 29.5 i want to know how they handle/steer at high speed/WFO. I like my 12inch tire on back but like the 28 and really like 29's. Any one have weight and measurements?

Put several sets of 29.5 swamp lites on my grizz today and came to the house with the same tires I left with. Couldn't get any to run straight enough. From side to side is very bad. Tried 16 different 29.5 and only found one that might have been ok. Started trying the 28's and the same thing with them. I have no lift and the 29.5 fit ok...I was supprised they fit. I weigh in at about 300 and could stand on the floor board and bounce up and down and no rubbing.
Point is if your going to try these tires you need to see them spin on a balancer or run 50 with them on your bike and feel the vibration before you buy them in my opinion. If they run straight they ride real good and look as if they would do very well in the mud.

This is just my opinion....! Not trying to bad mouth these tires. Because if I can find a set that run straight they will be on my bike.

My dealer has been on the phone the last two days with the manufacture trying to figure what to do about this problem.

I have a set of 26"s with the same problem _mule_. They are a great tire but you cant hold them on the road at speed. Granted you cant expect a tire like this to be a highway tire but from trail to trail I neeed to ride on the road and @ 55 there scary.

is there any aftermarket mud/trail or mud tire that really does well above 40? And are these swamplites worse that others, or just worse than stockers and equal to most other trail/mud tires?

My gators ride True, dont woble and thats been up to 70+ on pavement and 68+ dirt. Thats not a good sign when you cant find a set of strait ones out of 50 tires!!! They better fix that or lose some business.

My mudlites and mudbugs did the same thing..I just ordered some 27" swamplites on type 5s and what they do over 50mph dosent matter cause they will never see it.

Have a new set of 29.5" swamplites mounted on factory camo wheels. Back two tires and one front tire are fairly true.
But one tire has about 1/4" to 3/8" side to side wobble.
The ride is suprisingly smooth,But at 20 m.p.h. the one front tire wobbles the bars pretty good. Am going to call the distributor and see about getting a replacement.

If any body else is having trouble with these tires not running true please post.

Called my supplier today and since he was sold out of the 29.5" swamplites, he will send me a replacement as soon as the factory gets up to speed from the hurricane. It makes me a little anxious, wondering how many tires I might have to send back. Hopefully the next one will be ok.

Aside from the one bad tire though, I think they'll be a great tire for trail, snow, and some moderate mud holes.
With 7lbs. of air in them they are about 28 7/8" tall on a 7" wide front wheel. Plus they look cool as heck on my camo 800 Sportsman, with camo wheels!!

PS. Wish I could find somebody in my area to maybe balance them once, just to see how many ounces I'm off. None of the atv dealers balance tires and the guys at the tire shops looked at me as if I was nuts. ""

Found out this morning that manufacturing of swamplite tire
was not affected by hurricane, mostly shipping related delays. Interco might not see another shipment for 3 to 4 weeks. Am not sure where tire is manufactured.

Well i mounted my 29.5 SL's today on my 700 grizz on factory wheels, man they look good .....without my lift and adjustin stock suspension they fit fine only rub a little at full turn but my 2'' lift and 1'' spacers should clear that up....as for keepin it on the road i had no problem with that..at about 24-27mph and about 53-55 there was some wobble but that was pretty much about it...i didnt buy them to take my fam on vacation ya know lol. Havent put them in mud yet but im sure ill have plenty of opportunities at creekbottom haha and im sure they'll get me through anything (+more) that an all terrain is expected too
