Ok now before I take my bike to the shop i figured i'd see if anyone here could help...... I recently snorkeled my kodiak and i guess it wasn't gettin enough air cause when i hit 35mph it started to bog.. and sputter... so i figured if i wanna go fast i'll take my wolverine... anyways i rode it out last weekend and i went to start it on monday and as it was running it was sputtering and turning off... so i choked it and did the same thing but at a higher rpm.. then turned off... now it cranks, but it won't start? YES THERE IS GAS IN THE TANK.... its getting spark and fuel cause i can smell it? any ideas? maybe jumped time?

yeah its getting compression.. it cranks and even backfires when trying to start... but it just won't start...

then it really sounds like your timings off pull it aprt and check the chain timing

could the timing just go out like that? one day it ran fine the next day its fubar? and do you think that me snorkeling it had anything to do with the timing going out or is it just maintenance?

maybe did you rejet the carb?

no i took it to the shop and they have to replace the timing chain and a sprocket.... anyways thats like 4 hours of labor and abot 27 dollars worth of parts...
