Its a re-badged Bombardier Traxtor 500 (Now more commonly known as BRP).
These atv's are big, heavy, SRA and built very tough.
In my opinion, its was one of the best WORK atv's ever made.

They were all made by Can-Am.
Can-Am designed it, they couldn't sell them, so they contracted to build them for JD.  When JD released it the dealers thought it would sell like hotcakes (apparently those sell well) so a lot of dealers ordered a lot of them, but then couldn't sell them.  In southern MN there were a lot of JD dealers that would either give them away in raffles or as a "buy a combine get a free atv" deal.  A number of ATV dealers in southern MN took a big hit because hundreds of ATVs were being given away or sold far below MSRP.  People might not have liked JD atv's over a Polaris, but for free they'll take it.

They were so ugly it's no wonder they couldn't sell them. The only ones I have ever seen were being ridden by police outside Talladega Superspeedway.

I think they may have figured that out.  The later models had the yellow wheels optional instead of mandatory.

Wth is with the missing portion in front of the seat.  I mean even if you don't put a gas tank there, why just leave a big hole?  What happens when you hit a stump or nose into an embankment and slide forward and get your butt stuck in the hole.  That's just plain dumb.

edited cause my brain works faster than my fingers type.
