i know theres a milion posts on here about jetting, i think thats the problemis theres to many different opinions and different set ups that ive read about. i have just snorkeled my eiger, 1.5 all the way to the racks and reduced down since it wont run with the 1.5. i got the uni filter ordered and hopefuly within a couple of weeks will have the money for a new exhaust. now what do i need to do as far as rejetting? im ordering a jet kit from dyno jet. what all is involved with the jetting process? whats in the carburetor already ( i havent boke the carburetor down yet), and what do i need to change to to b able to run a bigger snorkel and have more power? r there any other adjustments that i will need to do? i guess i wish i knew more about carburetors and rejetting then i wouldnt have to ask u guys so many questions?

ill throw in my .02....if your getting more air to the engine you'll need more fuel....a simple rejet of the main jet up a size or two should work for your mods....you can also jump up one size on the pilot jet but no further than one size for those mods....rejetting a carb can easily be mindboggling when you start messing with the needle settings etc....but with your mods id would just get a bigger main jet... you have to be careful with the dynojet jets as i think the sizes on their jets dont correspond to the stock mikuni jets that you would get from the dealer...hope this helps....

well, your eiger has a keihin carb with a 122 main jet stock, if you ran your snorkel with 1.5 pipe then your probably running rich( less air/more fuel) so you might want o jet down. But if your gonna get an HMF your bike will breathe better so you'l have to jet up some to compensate, the HMF should come with three keihin jets: 130, 135, and 140. I'm running a 130 in mine right now and it runs great. You'll just have to mess with it till you get it where you like it.

As far as changing jets, its real easy, just loosen the clamps on either side of the carb and rotate it till you can get a screwdriver to the four screws on the bowl and once yoyu get the bowl off the main jet is the one that sticks down the farthest. you can pop it off witha small adjustable wrench or flathead and then put your new one in and reassemble and tighten. For the needle you should run the second notch and you can get to it by removing the seat
