i got a 08 brute and got the 5 yr warranty added since it was 1st yr with efi and i know that can get pricey but i really wanna do snorks since there safe and soooo easy to do on this machine but cant void my warranty

will be up to your dealer really, they should not void warrenty but some dealers think they are bad, with that said i think if you want to keep your warrenty i would ask the dealer about things before you do them to make sure he wont freak out on you. some are cool with stuff like that and some are not.

If you can get a dealer to tell you its ok to snorkel it you had better get it in writing. Most dealers at least around here will tell you one thing and then as soon as something goes wrong...they blame it on whatever aftermarket parts you put on the bike.

maybe they might put them on for you and they will have to warrenty it then... but yea just get it in writing

keep every stock part you take off, get an extra pod to cut, and when you blow her sky high, take a day or two to put it all the way back stock and get her fixed, never tell the dealer or let them see it, i do all the small repairs on mine, but if she pops, she will look as stock as the day she came off the floor. stealers can be double sided on what they say when it comes down to a 3500 motor, if you get water in the engine don't waste your time putting it stock, call flynt!!!! the dealer will see the water, mud, etc and say you owe them for labor lol.

True^^^ some dealerships , might warranty add ons as long as they put them on(at least i know of one) and always get stuff in writing...

I called up kawasaki consumer services and asked for a detailed warranty description and also asked what exactly voided a warranty as far as modules, exhaust and snorkels. He told me that snorkels, exhaust, etc... will not void the warranty. I'd say if the dealer has a prob then call up kawasaki consumer services and let them work it out. They were very helpful when i had issues with the dealer. They gave me and extended warranty free of charge due to the b.s. i put up with from the dealer and the length of time it was in the shop for.

you are trully one of the few people then that have had good luck with them my friend, still if you take it back stock then no questions are ask, just look at it this way, you got a 50/50 chance, take it back modded and they fix it, or they say no, the take it back stock after them seeing it modded and they still say no because they remember the mods, or take it back stock the first time and they can't say anything but the date it will be fixed

your taking a chance taking it to them modded.

i will also say this, i know my dealer pretty good, I THOUGHT, brought my brute to him 2 months old with only 29.5's on it as a mod with a torn boot, they said sorry sir the tires done it. so i brought it home, modded it out, fixed it myself and put all my stock parts in a box if she blows up, boot cost me 30 bucks to fix.

Yea i see what you are saying, i took all my mods off before taking it in. It was after i had taken it in that i got ahold of kawasaki consumer services to find out the warranty info. Basically what i'm saying is you gotta go beyond the dealer and go straight to kawasaki. Any shop thats a kawasaki dealer obviously sells Kawasaki's and makes warranty repairs and services on units. The shop doesn't mandate, make or change anything to do with kawasaki motor corp. warrantly policies. I talk to Rick at Kawasaki: 949-7700-400 ext:2564

I have 28" laws, radiator relocated, lift, and snorkels. I had a cross-threaded plug in the front cylinder. It took a while to get the work done and I had to do some talking but my dealership in slidell put a brand new head on it for free. It all depends on the dealer but find out before you do anything.

My buddy just asked the dealer that, the dealer said only if the snorkels caused the problem, otherwise it would be completely covered yet (and this same dealership got my motor rebuilt cost free, and it was my fault) maybe I just have a good dealer?

i called actual kawi today and my dealer and both said snorks will not void the warranty and my dealer is cool with me and said to keep all my stock stuff and put it back to stock so they dont have to worry about it if anything were to get kinda itchy

Yea it depends on your dealer i have snorks and the rad is up top and the oversized tires and my dealer didnt care he thought it was kool and very different and i did this all within a month of having my cat .

mostly it depends on the tech Kawi dosent normaly buck the tech if he says its should be coverd they will normally cover it but if he says its b\c of the snorkes VOID!

i guess they dont want atv`s going through anything deeper than a mud puddle. its a wonder they just didnt add a snorkel tax, they stick a tax on anything else
