never heard of the finger nail polish but it seems like it would work well also. i punched a small hole in the side of my kenwood door speakers when i first got them. they got a liftetime warrenty so i sent it back and they fixed it

My cousin had holes in his two ten's.  Just put silicone around the hole and you'll be fine.  His sound like they're brand new.

What i do when this happens is i take layers of toilet paper covered in white glue (like the craft glue for kids) when it's wet still you can counture the paper to match the slope of the cone, silicone is too flexible for that aplication, you do not want the cone to flex or distort in the damaged area. I use this system when i have to repair or re cone a vintage speaker
silicone should only be used on the foam/rubber surround or on very small tears in the cone, but white glue is still better to tears

hey seth if u want i think i got an old rockford fosgate 10 at my parents house sitting in a kicker comp box lol, its from my first system in my ranger then i swaped them out and got kicker comps, and now in my new truck im running JL under my rear seat downfiring and still got just 1 from my first setup

u can have it if u want it and can find something for it

let me know if u want it and silicone will work just fine, ive heard on headliners to use fingernail polish when u get a tear in it but never on a sub but sounds like it would work as well
