Drain your oil and put some deisel in there. Run it for a few minutes and drain it. Then try it again. Then let it drain overnight and then put some oil back in.

no, there is no oil/gas mixing on a recon, they are 4 stroke not 2 stroke
i use a little diesel with the oil, and i do not start it, i remove plug wire and turn over with the starter in 15-20 second intervals, then i drain and repeat, then drain overnight and begin flushing with oil.
it will take multiple oil changes but keep at it until you get it clean looking

Diesel will clean out the engine, but there is a big down side to doing it.  I will also wash away the oil from the rings, pistons and other major components.  A buddy of mine did it once several years ago on a 400 Foreman without any problems, but I don't recommend doing it.  It is much better and safer to go buy several cheap oil filters and alot of cheap oil and flush the engine with oil.  Much safer option IMO.  If you go the diesel route, do not run the engine, turn it over without starting for maybe 10 to 20 seconds.  What exactly did you do?  Sink it?

Heard a lot of people using Seafoam. I've only had to do it once, when my wife sank a 400 Foreman, and I used diesel, got it cleaned out and had no problems afterwards.

Here's ya a good read on flushing.

I used 1/2 diesel and 1/2 oil when I had to do it.

I have used diesel on many bikes with success. I dont go riding it down the road or anything, but you can start it with diesel. Diesel breaks the water down better than other oil. I have always heard of seafoam but never used it.

Just to be safe why dont you just mix the diesel with cheap oil 50/50 and flush it out like that.

Or you could do what i did with my wolverine over 2 years ago. The wolverine holds around 3.3 quarts of oil I put about 2.5 quarts of 15w40 diesel oil ( lots of detergents) and mixed it with some of that Gunk engine flush. Next I let it idle for around 20 min while occasionaly shifting through the gears worked like a champ.
