ok i test rode a honda 700xx today, i was very unimpressed. i have raced atvs for bout six years ive raced 400exs and 450rs and i think a 400ex with a pipe and jet kit could hang with it. tha motor sounds real restricted though like if it had a pipe and a filter kit it might haul **** but i doubt it. i wouldnt buy one. it was hard ta even get tha front end up ta ride a wheelie. not to sure bout tha whole ind. rear junk either its def. not worth tha 7600 price tag. It maybe a fun trail bike but i dont see it dominatin at tha dunes anytime soon

I dont see it dominating anything any time soon. They just followed polaris, which sucks because now everybody will probably have a useless IRS "sport" atv. I could go just as fast on my swingarm bike and not have to worry about the five million extra parts breaking.

Can't wheelie? The 700xx has no problem in 1st,2nd & 3rd. The things jump beautiful and have a forgiveness factor landing off kilter. 400ex hang with it? Not even close. Both our 700xx's smoke my Renegade 800x and the KFX700. It wasn't built to be a dune machine. It's a trail beast. Both are hitting 80mph top speeds. It was only off by .2 of a second to the Raptor in a drag and it feels very restricted. Once a pipe and EFI tuner is on them they're going to be a **** machine. My only complaint is they push quite a bit in turns if you're not putting your weight to the front.

Maybe at the dunes. But after a 1000k ride we'll see who's wanting to get back on the bike. I thought it was ugly at first from pics. Once you're around it in person it's not bad. The 700XX's that won the Baja500 look pretty good.

I can still outrun it all day anywhere with my yfz.... Unless your going 80 all day, then just let me gear it up a little and I'll be back out front.

I know it'll out run a stock 450r. It had no problem against a LTR450 last night. What is with all these 450 guys thinking they're all that. They're all slow unless hopped up. Since you're talking ugly, what about the Rhino? Fast? a 450 at that. LMAO.

I personally find they are nice looking machines and look well built as well. Much better build quality than the Polaris Outlaw in my opinion.

Other than a pipe and air filter my YFZ's engine is bone stock, still have the airbox. The only "fat" bike that outrun me was a renegade that had the motor sent off to somebody. I think it may have been an 850 or 900 and he only got me by a couple lengths at the end. (got the distance at the start when I was spinning)

Your jokeing right?? The 525 Outlaw will beat a Raptor every time unless the rider stinks. The only way you will beat it if they are stock and your piped and have a module. But being 176cc more, you should.

Actually yeah I do. I've outrun every KTM powered bike I've raced so far, solid axle or IRS. They were fast though.

I take back what I said about the 700XX. Saw one in person today and the quad is simply way too small for me. My KFX 700 fit and finish is ten x's nicer than that Honda and the plastic under the motor has to go!!! I sat on the quad and the ground clearance was less than on a solid axel quad and the machine rocks bigtime from side to side. My 700 handles like it is on rails and I'm not sure the Honda will!!!

I dont really mind how it looks , ive watched some vids and yes it has no problem wheeling at all  . Im looking into a sport quad and its either gona be the popo 525 or the honda 700xx unless the raptor because irs lol . I dont really have much open areas but all nice tight trails and all so those two up there would be my best bet . Ive ridden alot of sport quads but my friends raptor with a bbk , cam , filter and pipe scared me haha and i would like that power so hopefully the 700xx has some hiden power waiting to be unleashed

After doing a weekend of riding out at Brule AB a couple weeks back, this what I saw.  I KNOW ANY POST ON SPORT QUADS IS A PEEING CONTEST.  Our group was 15 machines.  All which have had their machines for a year or 2 at least.  I just got back riding a sport quad now that my old busted leg can sort of do it again and the wife got the Renegade.  Anyway now to the racing.  It was about a 3-400 foot up hill drag.  All people were on paddles and there was only 1 stock Honda 450.  Next closest thing was my DS450 which only had a slip on, not even an air filter.  4/5 Hondas had HRC kits and were geared down and one was a 480.  1 Honda was keeping up and it was one that was running a 3.25 gear ratio.  Thats was it.  Our group was at "drag race hill" for most of the weekend racing, we raced 3 KTM 450's, 1 525KTM, many 700 Raptors, Pretitors, 2 Renegades, 4 YFZ's and one KFX700.  The closest thing to me and the low geared Honda was the 525 KTM.  He was piped as well.  NOTHING WAS BLOWING ANYTHING AWAY but the top 2 clear winners were the DS450 and Honda 450.  I need a bit more seat time on the DS since it has been a few years since I rode but the bike was a monster all weekend.  Now here come the excuses and all the other BS.  It is what it is and thats all I got.  Some races were made and lost by the driver but there was enough of a race pool and enough races to see what is what.

Now here comes all the tears...................
