Unless you have a gear reduction, a lot of motor work, or both you will probally hate any of them. I ran 26" vampires on my 300 and it would spin them pretty easy. I have EDL's now and the thick stuff lugs it down really bad. It is stock w/ a pipe. I know I know,  I'm still waiting for a primary gear to bulid a reduction and it was a deal on them I couldnt pass up.

I see your from LA so i guess your riding conditions are about like ours in east texas. I would say with a lil bit of motor work or a reduction i would suggest a sback/EDL combo or outlaw/EDL combo.

Id take a look at the one in the for sale forum. Thats a decent price if the motor is sound and it runs good.
Heck i paid $800 for mine and it looked like godzilla ate lunch then took a dump and my 300 came out lol.
here it is when i picked it up.

and here it is after a few weeks of work. its got the tan tank on it now.

i wpuld def. say that $1100 to $1200 for that green one is a good price.

You'll get better response in the tire forum, Honda guys seem to overhype their ATV's.

Agressive 25's is pushing it on a stock 300, the clutch kit might push you to some 26's.

28's on a 300 without a reduction, BBK, CAm, port/polish, clutch, jet, snorkle and a 15HP shot of nos is ridiculous unless you carry jackstands around so you can spin them effectively.

Man Fred seems like the only time you post in the Honda thread is to bash their power.

I run 27"s on my '94 with a high compretion piston, cam, clutch kit, jet kit and exhaust, but it will not turn them in the thick stuff.   I am putting on a gear reduction that should take care of that.  You will need a gear reduction or a BBK with the bolt ons, but not necassarily both a BBK and gear reduction....or nos

I have built several 300s and I  HIGHLY recomend not going over a 26" tire on a stock 300! I would also HIGHLY recomend ALL the bolt on mods (pipe, jet, filter) for even 26 laws!! The only way a bone stock 300 will pull a 26 or bigger tire will be on a **** trailer or chain behind it! I'm DEF not bashing 300s by any means! Just trying to straiten some of these kids out. They get on here and see some 300s turnin 28s 29.5s and 30s and then they think that theirs will which is def wrong! You NEED a gear reduction or extensive motor work for 28s and over!

I agree at times I'm a little harsh or negative, but I really don't like people to think that a certain machine can do this or that... when it simply cannot.  A dissapointed ATV owner is not in my agenda.  However, agreed, the bolt ons and a Reduction would probably push it into the 27 range easily.

And It's not just Hondas... Guys in the PoPo forum want to run 29.5's on 500's... I've owned 500's, and 29.5's are too much... heck, my 27's can sometimes feel like it's lugging in high gear.

I see your from LA so i guess your riding conditions are about like ours in east texas. I would say with a lil bit of motor work or a reduction i would suggest a sback/EDL combo or outlaw/EDL combo.

OUTLAW/EDL COMBO!!!

You'll get better response in the tire forum, Honda guys seem to overhype their ATV's.

Agressive 25's is pushing it on a stock 300, the clutch kit might push you to some 26's.

28's on a 300 without a reduction, BBK, CAm, port/polish, clutch, jet, snorkle and a 15HP shot of nos is ridiculous unless you carry jackstands around so you can spin them effectively.

easy now my300 handles my 25'' executioners in anything i have put it into. suction mud, concrete mud, swamp stuff, red clay, you name it i have been in it.

My 300 had trouble turning over 25x13.5 Super Swampers in 2WD, so that same tire on a 4WD would definitely be a stretch.  I've seen 300's struggle with skinny 26 Vampires.  first gear might get the job done, but that's about all it will do.  However 25 Exec's, although heavy, are usually shorter tires, and because of this and their lack of sidewall, they should be well within a 300's range.
