Any of you sxs riders have a gps unit?   What are you using as a mounting bracket and where do you mount it?

a ram mount... you can put on top of the dash, just put a metal backer on the other side of the plastic to tighten the bolts down to so you don't crack the plastic... or you can put a bar just above the hood going from one side of the roll cage to the other that will give you mounting capabilities for gps, spotlight, gun rack whatever you want.

I too use a RAM.  I replaced the big warning decal with a aluminum plate and mounted the RAM with a flat screw in mount next to the switches I added.  RAM is a good solid mount.

Does the gps just sit in the RAM mount or does it lock in some how.  It looks like it would just bounce right out.

If you get the one made for your gps it works just like a cell phone belt clip.  Never had a problem with one bouncing out

Mine sits right in there like a glove and it wont move a bit, plus with ram you can plug in the 12v power adapter! I also have a ram mount for my otterbox/ipod. Ill take pics and post them later, gotta go ride today.
