Status: offline 		I have a Dodge Ram 1500 regular cab 4x4 (4.7/Auto) with stock 3.55 gears and I want the front and rears swapped to 4.56. I need someone to give me the name of an individual or a shop in Shreveport, La that does gear swaps at a reasonable price.
Wanted to get rid of it but it has lost all resale value since the fuel prices went up so I am going to make the most of it and build it up.

 There is a place in Hallsvile that I use for all 4wd needs. It is Smittys 4wd. shoot me a pm for their number and info. I know them real good and they do good work. and if you take I20 toward dallas they shouldnt be but about an hour from you tops.

Status: offline 		I know there are more people on here with lifted trucks in the Shreveport area. I know of Ward's 4wd in Texarkana. I really wanted to do it local in Shreveport so I can drop the truck off for the day and not have to worry about getting a rental or anything. Any suggestions?

Status: offline 		hey man, this is the guy that posted above... hallsvile is way closer than texarkana. there isnt really going to be a place you can drop it off for the day and get front and back regeared and expect quality work... rear gears normally take half a day and then the front diff has to be pulled completely out of you truck since its IFS and then cases split and gears replaced... thats a full days work right there.  not to mention you have to let it sit over night for the gasket sealent to seal when you put the rear cover back on and the front end back togethor... shoot me a pm and ill get you the place in hallsvilles number. they are great with working with people and could do it on a weekend im sure...
