You did find the snap ring under all the mud, right?

Find a trailer ball with the flat "seat" just big enough to slide through the hole and push directly on the bearing.  Set the threaded end through the hole in the bearing, and wail the crap out of the round end of the trailer ball with your favorite swing press.  It'll come out.  If he wailing gets crazy, you may need to find a means of support to hold the knuckle closer to the bearing bore so you don't crack it.  They don't always want to come out, but they always will come out if you talk to them right.

I used a 1 7/8 hitch ball and a 2lb sledge and good aim. No problem
Oh yeah, forgot one important ingredient, PB Blaster, a lot of it

wd40 is nothing like pb. wd is a water displacer, pb is a penitrating oil. look in the same isle at the store, it is a yellow and white can that looks like it was scribbled on by a kid. there is even better out there but I cant think of the name right now...

Take it to a mechanic and have em press it out if all else fails.  It just takes  a second and most wont charge you much if anything to press it out. Or make a press out of a bottle jack.

PB Blaster is not the greatest at anything, but it's a good all around penetrating oil.

WD-40 is a good sticker remover, not much more.
