i like to fish, but aint had time lately. last time i went was abot 2 months ago. i mainly fish for bream, perch and catfish. every now and then i hook a decent bass, but i aint a hardcore bass fisherman. as far as gear i keep it simple and use the zebco stuff. i cant use a spinning reel to save my life. everytime i do i end up cuttin a bird nest out of it. i use to bowfish and still got the gear. i hate goin by myself. cant seem to get any of my friends interested in it.

That is a big OL' gar lol. I catch decent size ones at the bayou by my house (foot, foot in a half). I like saltwater fishing mainly so we catch BIG FISH the biggest I have caught so far was a 55-60 pound drum. I will try and get some pics up. But I use a ambassouder 6600 series on a 7ft ugly stick with 20 pound spider XXX line. and I got some abu garcia's and a pinnacles just laying around. But all we use to fish with is shrimp thats what me and all my friends use and nothing else.

Just got back into fishing about a month ago.  Happened to buy a fishing liscence when I went camping a month ago, and been using it just about every other day after work.  Hadn't fished in about 10 years before.

So far all I've caught is:
2- 2 foot alligator gar
1- 13" catfish
1-22" Red Drum
and a mess of crab.

Going out next weekend and try for some more red fish.

we saltwater fish. mostly for black drum and red fish. we keep some speckled trout. we use shrimp, mullett, and croaker for bait  (dead of alive); and YES i do bait my own hook and take the fish off the hook all by myself!   ive got 3 spinnin setups: red shakespere rod and reel, cabellas spinnin reel on a ugly stick, and an old one of jw's i hardly ever use anymore (dont even know what it is). ive also got 2 bait caster setups: jw bought me a abu garcia 6500 black max reel on a ugly stick...im learning to use it. jws dad has a blue dawia reel waitin for me as soon as im proficient enough to cast the baitcaster.

heres my first salt water fish:

and i caught this one (out of the cooler  lol...jws add reeled this one in)

I own several different brands of reels.  Have a couple 6500 series Black Max's Abu Garcias, a Cabella's Bait Casting Reel, Pennicle, Quantum, and Diawa.  Have been fishin all my life, and absolutly love it.  Haven't been this summer since I can't walk right yet.  Goin to go shortly, with or without permission.    Here are some pics of the drum we caught last winter.

These are some Gafftops and a blacktip that we got into the fall of '06.

I usually fish for stripers, white bass, and wipers down in Kentucky...  I usually use an ambassador bait casting rod.  One of my favorite things to do, it's just so peaceful and relaxing.

I fish alittle bit of everything.  We have a 17ft bass/ski boat that we take out to do some freshwater fishing.   I also love the saltwater, I plan on buying a boat maybe in November not a brand new one but a fixer upper.    Oh I bought a new rod and reel, a Penn Captiva Live Liner spincast with a Ugly stick Tiger lite rod.  I know its not the best of combos but I think both are very well made.   I was going to go out and use it today but its raining .

i do alot of fishing. its kinda in my family.  i usually striper fish. i use 7 foot st . croix rods medium action with penn 550ss spinning reels.  i usually hook up into 3 or 4 striper when i head out this time of the season the big boys have migrated north so there only get up too like 25 inches but there still fun. when i go ofshore we usually just tuna fish. and the occasional sharkin trip. last time we went we were chunkin for bluefin. hooked up twice lost one and got a 90 pounder . and the rods we use for offshore are mostly  penn internationals with a couple of shimanos and okumas thrown in there. would post pictures but cant figure it out

I caught the biggest one first..........and it took me 45 mins to get him to the boat.  Was usin a Cabella's brand bait castin reel on a Berkley Lightening Medium Action rod, and 15 lb test line.  Caught all 3 of them on that rod and reel.  The other two I caught was about a 30 min fight each.  The one that my dad is holding up was the shortest, but the heaviest.  He caught it on an ugly stick with a Quantum bait castin reel and 12 lb test.  Took him bout 40 mins to get it to the boat.

That's a nice string of specs.  I like spec fishin, but like the reds and black drum best.  They fight hard and long.  Have also gotten into a bunch of sharks before, they fun as well.  Like gettin out into some of that deeper water from time to time, but usually stay up in relatively shallow (Under 35 feet) water.
