Ok so I just bought one of the power packs with the dyno jet kit and the K&N air filter that is all installed.  I was wanting to know how exactly to hook up a tachometer and and air/fuel ratio gauage to my 2000 sportsman 500?  Also what is the air/fuel mixture suppose to be?  Im under 3000 feet if that helps at all.

Thanks guys you always help me out.

under power a goot a/f is 12 - 12.5:1 at idle a good number is 13.5:1 anything more then that is to lean. and thing lower is to rich.

to hook up an A/F you need to install an o2 sensor in your header pipe. if your not into drilling and welding on your machine.

why isnt the ratio like 14.7 like a car? so 12-12.5:1 under power is that at wide open throttle? and 13.5:1 at idle correct?

Just go with the recomeded Dyno jet setup and play with the air/fuel screw to clean up bottom end response.

One thing to note is that the Dyno Jet jets are made to work with their special tappered needle.
