Almost 6 of one and 1/2 dozen of the other. I think the KQ guys have more ratio out there to grab by installing some shims in the primary. There's not much to gain on the Grizz by doing that, but there is a little. The ACs seem to be clutched more aggressive than the Grizz right off the bat. The greased rollers in the Grizz give it a smoother shift out and longer belt life (dissipates heat better). But it does pose a problem if you swamp it although both types need a cleanout after such. I doubt you could quantitatively put a # on the increased belt life I mentioned. The Grizz shares the same tranny as all the rest of Yamaha's utility lineup so you can buy a set of weights for around $30 for clutching options.
