So i went riding this weekend and didn't notice anything unusual until sunday around 7. The axle boot on the front left axle got busted somehow.  LIke a 1" rip.  Can the dealer do anything about this or is this a fix i will have to do myself?  I dunno how it happened.  I have richocet a-arm gaurds.  The axle still pulls just like normal just has no grease and it makes a little noise everynow and then.  When i saw it i drove straight back to the truck and to the house.(about 1/2 mile)  If anyone knows or has a clue about the whole dealer situation please let me know! Thanks!

My delaer wouldnt do anything about a ripped boot. But then again hes a  real pain in the tail..  You can buy boots from The monkey site and there are some good how to's on changing them over on the AW site

yeah i hope so.  I don't care if i have to do it myself.  I like doing that kind of stuff.  Just a little advice don't buy the u-joint from advanced.  They do break, and way faster than the dealer joint.

well the atuo u jiont was new and well greased but the yoke broke one ear off. so that probably broke first. and the u joint's caps flew off with the yoke ears

thats the same thing that happend with mine, one of the  earsbroke and the cap went flying along with half of the Drive shaft.. I have had my PDQ joints in there for almost a month now and have giver heck plenty. I had my driveshaft magnfluxed to check for any more cracks before I reassembled it and it was all clear..

So far so good..  But im only running crappy mudlites and not 29.5s

i beat my yellow bike to death.  This one so far has had all kinds of problems with the driveshaft, the driveshaft hitting the tank(busted the fuel pump), and now a ripped boot.  Which the ripped boot could be from a stick.  I just would think that the richochet a-arm guards would have stopped that!  Thats what they are on there for.  The u-joints from advanced are tiny(center) compared to the oem.  I think ill stick with the oem for now.  The 29.5s and bigger is a whole lot of stress!

That will work well if you want to be replacing  the cv joint soon.
or you could change the boot . not that pricey and pretty easy to do
