Wondering how well the hmf penland pro works, how does it compare to the hmf utility

my friend has one on his 700 prairie and its sound mellower than the ute...which is good cuz the ute is too loud imo,i have one on my 750 brute and am thinkin bout gettin a hmf eco pipe to make it a lil more quiet. the penland is a good sounding pipe tho man

Not to loud and decent power gains. You wont make all the noise the utility does but it is a great pipe you really can't go wrong with.

It is noticable all around(power and sound), atleast on my H1.  Although after a year, it has gotten to be louder than most all of my friends utility models and the welds on the torque tube has came apart. Although I am the only one that has the motor modded extensively which would be reason for the increase in sound.  Before the mods though it was still noticable.  If you have a utility all you have to do is buy the tube, that is the only difference. As for the "power difference" it just increases backpressure slighly which increases torque

How does it create more back pressure?....I would think it would free it up more.

I love mine I've heard a couple of utilities and they are a little louder than the penland the only real difference between the two imo is a mellower tone and $20 oh yeah and the little bage with the mustache...lol
