okay so i found this huge hole back down my creek it was a good 5 ft deep no lie. i had the snorkle outa the water and i was steady on the gas the whole time but the bike still shut off while it was underwater, i managed to save it but can anyone help me on why this is happening or how i can fix it? i was guessin maybe the sparkplug could that be the problem?
thanks

You can do 2 things to help this #1 put dielectrical grease in the spark plug boot and #2 plug the carb drain line with a golf tee or nail w.e fits sungly my bike would do that same thing before i did this it seemed to cure this proublem.

but i always thought that if you plug the carb drain the bike wouldn't run right i'll try this and go through the hole next weekend and give some results
thanks

did it crank right up and run fine afterwards or was it hard for it to start  and keep running

reason i ask cause if it cranks right back up and runs fine then its electrical problem and if it was hard to start and run then water is either getting in via the carb drain or the vent

I have the same problem. What throws me off is that it doesn't happen every single time just the worst possible time. Like when I see that i'm swimming with a snake.  When I plug the hose with the one way vavle the bike runs like crap. Is there another vent on a 300 carb that needs to be pluged or ran to the snorkle?

if it starts running like crap either ur vents not getting enough aire or ur float is hanging up a little are set to high
