Does anyone know the deminisions of the HL water temp gauge.  I am wanting to install a gauge in the pod of my 05 Sportsman 500 HO, but it does not appear to have much room.  What is everyone else doing.  My bike overheated this past weekend due to the Radiator being plugged with sand/mud and I had to sit for some time to let it cool before riding back to the river to wash it.  I have purchased the HL radiator cleaning pump and am wanting to have some visual protection in case the "HOT" light does not come on due to a malfunction and I am re-building an engine .  I have kicked around the Rad relocation, but the wife is giving some push back .  If i have to, I guess I will have to install the guage on the handle bars, but I already have enough stuff on there and don't want to "clutter" it anymore.  Thanks in advance for the information.

Jason

That is the set up that I was looking at doing.  It looks great.  Thanks for the picture.

Those are not HL guages. They may be the same size but they may not be either. I have the HL temp guage on mine and it appears to be the same size but without measuring who really knows?

Im not trying to hijack the thread but this is what i was talking about using
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GAUGE-KTM-YFZ-TRX-250R-ATC-BANSHEE-RAPTOR-LTR-GUAGE_W0QQitemZ320281142671QQihZ011QQcategoryZ43977QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

or search item # 320281142671

i was thinking about installing it inline to the radiator and figured it would be readable since the radiator is on the rack

What are your thoughts?
