I don't know much about canams, but you should probly check all electrical connections, re-dielectric grease them. Find out if they have a reset, or remap process for the efi, change the spark plugs and go from there. Also  a good idea to check your fuel, it  could have gotten water in it. I do know that efi's don't like being wet, so make sure every thing is water free. gas, oil, air filter, electrical connections, vent lines. Good Luck.

Buddy of mine sunk his.  He had to hold the throttel wide open for approx 30 seconds before it would start.  He was about to take it to the shop and tried one last time to start it.

next step is to get on your knees and pray that nothing gets in the rod bearings. Make sure you clean the crank case well.

mine was upside down in water for 24 hrs, changed oil 7 times, drained everything else, starts up, but have only let it run for a few minutes . a few times, no noises, or smoke. but am worried once let it run a while, will have problems. is there a pickup tube, for oil pump ? that should be cleaned ?

I've been there...I would also check the fuel filter to see if it's dirty & clean out the tank vent hose.

you can run diesel fuel thru the crankcase to clean it out. And keep an eye on the oil.
