My bulb burned out, the guy at the parts counter at KAWASAKI said just get the bulb at the autoparts store they were out. I grabbed some and installed them, but when the key is on and/or it's running the light stays on at all times and doesn't brighten up when I pull the brakes. It even stays basicly the same when I turn the lights on, it's pretty bright.  I'm assuming I got the wrong type bulb?

Bulb # 1157 is the one he told me to buy

Buy you a hand full of them. It'll blow again once it gets wet.

Yes sir that was it. I'm thinking 'bout putting some kinda sealant around the lense to try and keep the water out. I picked up a few bulbs at Oreilly for $3. Just make sure you get 1157 and nothing else.

1157 is the most common bulb for older cars :)
TEXAN AVIATOR - I'm thinking about trying to seal it up also. Everytime i get back from a creek ride I notice that the inside is wet or either ΒΌ full.

I have burnt out my tail light bulb also and wondered what i could do to fix it and figured it was just from being really hot and getting into contact with water?...... This might sound funny but my buddy has a brute and on the bottom of the lense it has a clear insert and he took that out and has never burnt out a bulb again.  I thought that was funny because now its not sealed at all and every time he goes in water the bulb is directly exposed to it.

I have packed my socket with silicone grease, everytime I have had it out its been under water at some point of each ride, so far i,m still on the the bulb that came with it. but if the bulb leaks water inside the bulb its done.
