i would say yes. 27 laws with their massive side lug was close to the gas tank but did not rub on stock rims.
I got spacers later on to assure it never did.

I have 28 x 12.50 laws on the rear and with them aired way up that didn't rub. I let the pressure way down, and they rubbed on both sides, gas tank and the exhaust pipe. Thats on stock wheels. So 27's I don't think would matter what kind o tire you got they would be fine.

ok so what am i doing wrong? i got 26-12-12 outlaws and with 7 psi and they have rubbed a hole in the gas tank protecter and they rub the muffler if i stand the bike up and put weight on that side, on stock wheels, so how do you not rub with 12.5s?

My 27" Bugs rub the tank guard when im going down a bumpy trail. Not bad enough to cause any damage though. Does not touch the muffler. I have 5 psi in the rear.

You can try to crank up your shocks.

When I first got the tires put on they had a ton of air in them, I don't even know how much. They didn't rub at all. I let it out to about 5 1/2 and it rubs now. It tore the plastic cover around the gas tank and the exhaust. I did jack my springs up as far as they would go, that helped some. Still rubs with low pressure.

BassMaster - Like the bike man. I like bugs too. My sister-in-laws just arrived via fedex at my house just 2 hours ago. She's quite happy.
