Other day I was going through a mudhole, ended up being to deep and put my quad underwater.  I do not know much about the quad because it is practically brand new.  But I got water in the oil, and in the air inake, carb, etc...  I have drained oil, and open plug and drained the belt area.  What else do I need to flush and clean before I can make the quad running worthy again.  It is a 07 stock Brute force 750.

Thanks

Not sure if this is the correct way, but I pulled my plugs out and turned it over several times until it wasn't pushing any water out.  Then I finally got it started and let i run for about 5 min and changed the oil 11 times.  But do it until it doesn't have a milky look to it.  I didn't have to mess with my carbs (thank goodness).

buy lots of cheap oil. drain everything oil, carbs, including pulling the plugs and pullin on the rope to push any water off the tops of the pistons, dont start it. put in fresh oil & a new filter. turn it over a few times to stir around that fresh oil.  then drain it and put in some fresh. do that until it looks fairly clean. Put on a nother new filter & fresh oil. And try to get it started. If It wont start put a little oil down through the carbs. try to start it again. Once it starts let it run for 30 or 45 seconds. Do the oil thing again and keep doing it until what comes out is CLEAN.

Ha Ha, still not running.  I am going to spend the money and take it to the pros.  I havnt even got time to work on it, but I need to get it in quickly so it doesnt rust.  I live in Klamath Falls Oregon.  Hopefully it runs the same when I get it done or else it will have to go in the classifieds.

Gonna change the oils myself.  Whats the best engine oil to use, best differential oils to use, and best spark plugs to use in my brute?

While flushing it out I would use the cheapest oil I could find. After its all clean and stuff I recommend the 0w-40 amsoil. The front diff can use the amsoil and the rear diff I just run the kawi wet brake stuff. Any tractor hydralic fluid will work though. The iridium plugs are the best IMO but they all spark and I could never tell a difference in preformance between them all.

Thanks for the info guys.  I got the Quad back up and running this weekend.  6 oil changes, 2 spark plugs, new differential oils, drained carborators, drained gas, all plastics off, cleaned up belts and auto trans, and also pulled the crank start about 50-60 times to get the water out.  14 man hours later, it started up just fine and with the money I saved doing it myself I ordered a K&N air filter.  I may start to drive around little water holes now instead of through them.

you could also try pouring marvel mystery oil in the pistons and cycle it a couple times. we use that stuff offshore. it works mysteriously!
