Does anyone have any tips on a stripped belt house screw?  I tried putting some epoxy on, but did not work.  I was thinking about using a soldering gun to try and melt it back into the plastic.  Its the bottom center screw and is a real pain tin the ****.

No it didn't tear it just spins.  I tried putting pressure on the brass housing from the opposite side of the machine while the wife  loosened, no success.  Right now it is still sealed up, with little to no slipping but it is something that needs to be able to come off.  Luckily (or unluckily) its -13 to -4 C (8-24 F) and I do not plan on going deep.  As long as nothing happens, this can wait till the spring.

I would say order a backing plate, new screw and a seal. In the spring drill the screw out, take the clutches off and clean and inspect them, replace the backing plate making sure to seal it good on the back, reassemble and you have a repaired cover, with serviced clutches. While you're at it, change the fluids in the engine, trans and diffs, check wheel bearings and brakes lube all "u" joints in the front and rear prop shafts, and your suspension points and your ready for another 2000 miles of trails or one mud bog. Man I can't wait for spring........Good Luck

I would just go ahead and order a new backing plate. I dont know what year model of a bike that you have but there is a updated backing plate for the can-ams. Over time they will warp from heat and its best just to replace them.  Just my opinion.
