I have an 07 Sportsman 70. I want to put Kenda Bearclaws under it. Can anyone tell me if 27s will fit on it comfortably or should I stick with the stock 26 inch size. Everything is still stock on this. I use it for light trail riding and mostly work around the house (sometimes pulling a 5 x 8 utility trailer). So I want to make sure that hauling the trailer with 27s on there won't bottom the rear suspension on the traed or anything like that.

Thanks in advance,
Jim

27's will fit, but you will need spacers or offset rims for tires wider than 9 inches in front. the trailer will be fine to pull, you can adjust your shocks as well to make it stiffer and not have quite that much travel if needed.

You think the ITP SS212 rims will be offset enough without spacers. I am looking at either the SS212 or SS112.

i think they have a 1 1/2 inch offset, should do 10's for sure in the front. get a 2 in offset rim and you can go 12's all the way around.

The ITP website has the 12x7 wheels listed as a 4 + 3 offset rim. I assume this means 4 inches out and 3 inches in right? That should be enough for the front going from stock 8 inch wide tires to bearclaws that are 10 inches wide right?

I just want to make sure I will still be able to turn without rubbing as well.

Just wanted to stop back and thank you for all your help.

I got the wheels and tires last night and put them on. It was surprising that the 27s are pretty much the same height as the stock tires because of the flatter profile. I took it out in the fields just before it got dark and I am amazed at the difference.

Thanks again.
