Does anyone know how strict the rule about wearing a helment on the spillway is?

yup, they look for that. you only have to wear it if the bike is on or in motion, if you kill it and get off out there in the park you can take it off, i have never had any trouble doing that. they also dont want tires taller than 28 inches last i checked, altho some guys said that if you were smoothe and didnt get in nobodys face, they would let you slide with 29.5's. other than no alchohol and no firearms/weapons, its not too bad.

one last thing, make sure you follow all directional signs. i was stoped for heading the wrong way up a trail folowing a guy taking us to help tow his friend back. cop didnt care why, just fussed at me for not reading...

When you say helmet is there a required style i.e. full face or just one that covers my head like the oldschool leather motorcycle helmet?

it needs to have the D.O.T. stamp on it. i've seen every style out there. my dad's friend wears his candy red chopper skull helmet and he is fine.

I wear a brain bowl also. Never any problems. I did see a couple guys out there last saturday who didnt have any helmets on. Wasnt much enforcement, but they did say they were gona get it, so it wasnt like they purposly tried to beat the system. But usualy there is a guy out there enforcing the rules. Just so happend last sat. was a dry day for enforcement.
