Speedwerx is getting closed to 90 horsepower with the TCat with just a cam, intake, pipe, and controller. The horsepower numbers from the bbk, high comp pistons, and head porting will be available soon, but they say it will cross the 100 hp mark with considerable margins. LiveforMud was dead on with his predictions so far. We will see what the exact numbers of the bbk will produce soon.

Those numbers are at the crank not at the rear wheels. With 12:1 pistons and cams they are making 87 to 88 hp at the crank.

Correct. Sorry I didn't clarify that.

What controller are they using? Do they make their own?

Boondocker of course. I would only get that if they tuned it for me since they are doing all the testing with it.

The cams alone have made some good power gains should be alot better with the headwork done also.

They have one set of cams and should have some more within the next couple of weeks. Pistons are on the way, atleast that is what they keep telling Jeremy.

The BBK is still a couple of months out. But I will have some real hp numbers from the Dyno Sheet when its ready.

I got to say that much power would be INCREDIBLE and fun to play with,,...... But..... how will the drivetrain even stand a chance? People have already had drivetrain problems.

I agree with Cole. I think the HP numbers are great and I love HP. But somebody is going to have to come up with some drivetrain parts that will support this HP or it is going to do no good to have it. As for the fuel controller from boondocker is it available yet and is it completely tunable or does it just add fuel like some of the others?

I keep hearing how much stronger the 3.1's are. More metal then the 3.6 or 4.0's. But I broke my front. Due to pin failure. If I lose another one b/c of the pin breaking (not the weld, the pin broke) I am gonna have one made from chromemoly and then have it tig welded in. Not just tacked.

I welded mine inplace, its going to have to break now..lol
that little bitty tack weld just was not going to cut it..

only place the 3.1s are thick is at the ring gear its self the spyder gears and pin all look the same.

I talked to him yesterday and he said they were still waiting on pistons, so who knows. I think the hi-comp pistons, cams, headwork and controller are going to make the Tcat the rock if we can get it to hook up.

I agree heck they only have 8:1 compression. This motor is gonna be nasty with some good pistons and cams.

so what will the price of pistons, cams, and a controller be? what is the minimum octane for the 12:1 compression pistons. I personally think like a 10.5:1 with decent cams would a good increase from stock and not too wild.

yeap 10:5 or 11:1 is what i would want so you can stil run pump gas, 12:1 will be borderline on 93oct imop.

but it will be killer for sure

A bit off topic but why are they using the Boondocker fuel controller? I have a Boondocker fuel controller on my king and love it, the "live" fuel adjustments work great and it is so easy to use. The data display is a big plus too.
