I purchased a 1999 Sportsman 500 used, with no manual. Can someone tell me if this speedo is supposed to show mileage or just hours.

I've pushed that black button , but it never changes to miles.

Thanks, maybe I'm doing something wrong or it's broke. It changes to something, can't remember I think kilometers, but never changes to miles........

put atv in nuetral put parking brake on and hold in the reverse over ride button or the black button on speedo (cant remember which one try both) and as your holding button turn key to the on position and that will get you in to the mode where you can change it back to mph. once in the mode push the button on speedo to you get mph section
