I am getting a set of clarion marine speakers and was wondering if anyone had used them before for there audio tube just wondering how good they are? Thanks

I have them. Good sound but not quite the volume of some of the others. I like the sound better than most that are the same price. I've had mine for close to a year now and they sound just as good as they did when new. They do require a good bit of power though.

How do they compare to the polk audio and the pyramid pb440x amp is enough power right? I was getting the polk audio but they have them back ordered so they said they would send me the clarion the guy said they were better?

The Polks are a bit louder but not quite the bass response as the Clarions imo. The nice crisp sound the Clarions are nice but you will lose a little of the volume to the better quality sound.

Thanks for your help I should get my speakers in monday but I wont be able to get them hooked up till the weekend unfortunatly cant wait though.

Got the speakers hooked up today and took it out for a ride and loved them. They sound great and get plenty loud for me. I would recomend either these clarion or the polk my buddy has the polk and both of them sound good.

How much is the price difference in the Clarion and the Polk?? I'm looking at getting the Pyle 240watt amp, it's only like $30ish on ebay. I'm thinking of running 2 6.5" Polk or Clarion and 2 either 4 or 5.5" cheap speakers.

Get the bigger sized speakers. They will give you a better bass responce that the smaller ones. Next setup I make will have a least 2 8s ,2 6.5s, and a set of tweets to go with them. Just gotta figure out how I want to lay them out now.

I bought them in ebay buy it now after shipping mine ( the clarions ) were like 74 and my buddies ( the polk ) were like 76 I think not exactly sure but the price was not that big of a difference. Just depends what you want I think the polk prob get a little louder but the clarion have a little better sound and get plenty loud enough for me that is. I have a stock rancher which isnt that loud so that could be why I dont tell much of a loudness difference.
