i filled the belt housing full of mud and water last weekend so i took it off to clean it all out and my belt has been this loose since i have had it. it has a heelclicker clutch kit and only has 300 miles on the fourwheeler.  i just walked the belt off with just using my hands turning the secondary pulley and put it on with just using my hands. when we took the one off my buddys brute force it was a tight fit walking the belt on and off. the first picture with me squeezing it with my hands i'm using hardly and force.

I think that might be close cause I know Polaris belts arent constantly tight like the Yamahas. Looks like its saggin pretty bad in the bottom tho.

It's supposed to be loose with the engine off like that.  Does it slip when you ride it?

No it should nto be that loose.

Possible causes.

Engine mount broken causing the engine to be shifted rearward

Belt worn too thin, This causes the belt to sit too low in the secondary clutch.

Stretched belt

wrong belt for the application or aftermarket belt

But on all ebs systems the belt should have almost zero deflection (your pics show alot more then zero deflection).

The only polaris CVT systems that don't run a tight belt (zero deflection) are the non ebs models.

Rat is right you should not have that much play in the belt. There is something wrong. Check all the things Rat said first.

If the mount was broken then I would check to make sure the Center to Center distance is still correct as the motor might have shifted rearward while the mount was broken.

If you had a broken motor mount before its possible you motor has shifted a little. You can loosen the motor mounts and move the motor where you need it and get the 10".

did you start the bike after you put it on. when you just put it on it will be loose. if you start the bike and rev it a bit it should tighten up.

My 700 did this same thing once, Found that the secondary clutch wasn't returning completely to the "idle" or no load position, I disassembled and cleaned it up, has been working perfect ever since.
