I'd use more silicone. Your bead must not be complete if it still leaks. I siliconed mine and it dont leak a drop. Just be liberal with the silicone. Its not the kinda thing you wanna skimp on.

The first time I just put some on the bottom where the o-ring is and then put it back on I don't think it sealed good because my snorkel makes the lid hard to snap back on.  When I do it again I'll put some on the outside 2.  Yall have any problems getting them back off with all the silicone?

i use either dielectric grease, or synthetic "red" grease.  run a thick bead along the inside of the top lip, re-install lid (it will ooze at this point), and wipe some of the excess off..........been working great for me!!  no leaks!

No I dont have any problems with it, but I dont make it a point to take it off to much so that everything stays put.

What about PVC cement Put some on the outside of the lid after you close it ? I'll probably just use dielectric grease on the inside and silicone on the outside but jw if anybody ever heard of using PVC cement

I would use something non-hardening. With silicone or others that get hard they will tend to come loose from the lid or the box. With the Dow111 or some form of grease it will flex and stay attached to the surfaces its applied to.

Thats what I do. The other good thing is you can take it off when your riding and put it back on without having to need more silicone.

Where is that located? The overflow is the only one I see that is not connected to anything with both ends...What side of the radiator, top or bottom? Thanks

use marine grade silicon adhesive....this stuff is awesome and hardens to where you can sand it if needed.....but if this is going on the air filter cap...just use a tube of rtv
