does anyone know how well sleeved axles hold up?  im considerin building a bigger lift for the kodiak and dont have the money for new longer ones.  so im considering just sleeving the stock ones.

Not sure about sleeved axle.  A buddy of mine added some length to his Gurilla axles on his Rincon by cutting a piece out of an old shaft, cutting his shaft in half and welding the piece in.  He would grind the axle piece down to a point at about a 45 to 60 degree angle and then start welding at the center, slowly fillling it in layer by layer.  It held up pretty well.  If you did what he did and then put a sleeve over it, I would think it would be bulletproof.

They hold up just as good as stock axle if welded properly

I think it would hold up fine sleeved. VERY rarely will you see an axle that breaks on the shaft.

all depends on the welder. with a good penetrating weld it will hold.
