Status: offline 		IF YOU ARE A REGULAR ON THIS FORUM OR HAVE MADE IT TO ANY OF THE EVENTS THROUGH OUT THE SOUTH EAST YOU HAVE PROBABLY MET TAMMY MENGES.  SHE IS A FIESTY, SWEET, CARING, CRAZY AND WOULD GIVE YOU HER SHIRT OFF HER BACK KINDA GIRL.  YOU ALSO MAY HAVE BEEN PASSED BY HER HITTING THE BIG NASTY HOLES ON HER BLACK AND PINK BIKE.  THIS LAST WEEK SHE RECEIVED SOME HORRIBLE NEWS.  SHE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH BREAST CANCER. 

TAMMY IS A FRIEND OF MINE AND I KNOW SHE IS A FRIEND OF MANY ON HERE.  SHE IS SCHEDULED FOR SURGERY ON MONDAY AND WE WILL BE PRAYING FOR HER AS I HOPE YOU ALL WILL TOO.  HER AND HER WONDERFUL HUBBY ARE SELF EMPLOYED AND HAVE TO COME UP WITH MONEY FOR THE TREATMENTS AND THE CHEMO....THEY ARE WORKING ON A LOT OF DIFFERENT OPTIONS AND THAT WOULD LEAVE THEIR BILLS STILL VERY VERY HIGH FOR THEIR SHARE. 

WE ARE ORGANIZING A SEVERAL STATE FAMILY FUN RIDE AT VARIOUS PARKS THROUGH OUT THE SOUTHEAST TO HELP RAISE MONEY FOR TAMMY'S MEDICAL COVERAGE.   WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING ON THE DATES RIGHT NOW.  WE HAVE SOME ALREADY WORKING ON CROSBY, TX - SCOTTSMOORE, FL - WORKING WITH RHONDA AT TEAM ABS AND HER WONDERFUL CREW IN THAT AREA.   HAVE A FEW OTHER CALLS TO MAKE IN A COUPLE DIFFERENT STATES.  IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SETTING UP A RIDE PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP SO THAT WE CAN GET THE INFO OUT THROUGH EMAILS, WEBSITES AND FORUMS.

Status: online 		Man...I got her text the other day about getting the results back the next day, but never heard if she was actually diagnosed or not. Need to get with Rhonda & some of these Texas area folks and figure out what we can do to help! There's a big ride at Mud Creek next month...I've already contacted the Chamber of Commerce here in town to see if I could set something up out there.

And if you read this Tammy...love you girl! Keep your head up and know that we are all praying for you.

Status: offline 		hey Amanda, i was calling you today...that is great.  I did talk to Rhonda and she is making a bunch of calls today.  I think that we can get this thing up and running.  there are several "big rides" that are coming up so we should be able to help her out.  She would go above and beyond for any of us and i know there are alot of people that feel the same about her. 

I will give you a buzz later and bounce some ideas off ya.

    Status: online     		If there is anything I can do, you know I will!!  Amanda, we may be able to do something at the big concert thingy @ Mudcreek.  Just a thought. 

    I didn't even know about Tammy's situation before I began supporting Susan G. Komen, and asking for donations everywhere (including here).  I've made the comment several times that this effects all of us in one way or another, and this is proof.  Tammy is special to all of us in one way or another.  We need to do all we can to help her directly, and also remember that when you donate to places like Susan G. Komen, it not only goes to cancer research, it also helps people in situations like Tammy's.

    Status: offline     		we are in the process of setting up something for those who can not make the various rides.  Maggie and Amanda great ideas.....also Maggie you are right about the Susan G Koman foundation. I know it is going to be helping them out also it is a wonderful organization that def helps out in situations like this. 

    I will post up the info on her as soon as i get it up.  Donations and all the money raised at the various events will be deposited into that account.  That way it is directly given to them for the medical bills. 

    Amanda great idea posting the pics...you know that Big Pink Beast is hard to miss.....

    As for raising some money Kris, Maggie or Amanda let me get with Josh tonight, maybe we can get a couple of our radios " Offroad Sound Systems" to raffle off at a couple of the rides for her. The Music ride at Mud Creek would be good one to raffle radio.

    Status: online     		That would be awesome! I think our best bet at the concert ride would be for some raffles. I'm not sure how big of a turn out there will be and I'm waiting to hear back from Cary at Mud Creek as to what they'll let us do out there at that specific event...

I will help with what I can-you all know that the races it is hard for me to break away but I am here for anything you may need. I can make phone calls and bring supplies that may be needed.

    Status: offline     		Okay ladies I talked to hubby Josh and we have the sound system for the raffle, yall just need let us know which ride to do the raffle at either the Music in the Mud ride or Mudstock.  The system we have is a custom dipped pink and black Offroad Sound System w/ MTX Marine speakers. Kris I got your number, just didnt get time to call tonight, I will call you after work tomorrow.
