Since all we hear about is how great the sec is lets look back at this year. I can remember all the great sec fans talking about how bad the acc is in football...................

With the season over, it's high time to really look at how the ACC has fared with its out of conference scheduling.
The ACC had 48 OOC games and won 37 of them for a win percentage of 77 percent, the same win percentage of the SEC.
Against the SEC, the ACC went 6-4. If we exclude the games involving Alabama and Florida, since NO team in the SEC could hang with either of those teams, the ACC is 6-1. Pretty amazing for the ACC, since it's

such a weak conference and the SEC is so strong.

Time for the SEC backers to look at how "GREAT" the conference really is. Be glad ya'll have Florida!

Im a Tar Heels fan and think the ACC does reserve some respect in football, because we are a b-ball powerhouse dont mean we cant play football and we just keep getting better, wait until next year we might be 10-2 9-3 is realistic and will play a little tougher schedule

first of all yes i think overall the SEC is down this year as far as how many good teams compaired to last year you say take out Florida sorry cant do that yeh im sure you want to but it dont work like that every year the SEC will have 1 or 2 teams step up to the plate and be really strong so you cant say take those 2 away next year it might be a different 2 but its still a strong conference yes i think only 2 were really strong this year the Big 12 South had more over all they have 3 really good teams

well lets c, i will vote every yr for us to play more acc games, i dont really think the acc would agree so much, jus because of this yr the sec wasnt up to par. but what does my vote count for, not much. GEAUX TIGERS

The SEC holds an 251-117-10 (.677) all-time advantage.

In the past 10 years (1998-2007) the SEC leads the ACC in head-to-head games with a 41-30-0 (.577) record.

At the moment, the SEC has the College Football National Champion (LSU) and both the Men's and Women's College Basketball National Champions (Florida and Tennessee).

And, the SEC also won the prior year's college B-ball and Football Championships (Florida took both). So, we've got 2 straight national championships in the top 2 college sports in America!

Given that Football and Basketball are the "biggest" college sports in America, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the SEC is the best sports conference in America.

The ACC is horriable in football. The SEC is just down rite now. You cant have a good season every year its just impossiable.

i hate to say it but im pretty sure the big 12 (kansas) has the mens basketball champs from last year but lets face it sats sec champ game should be the national champ game and is goin to be way better than then nc game bc who ever wins has a cake walk in the champ game

You my friend should keep up more on Apr 4th of 2008 Kansas beat Memphis for the National B-ball title so Florida is not the current champ

Lets factor in Basketball and see where SEC compares to the ACC at all? I mean I beat the record against the them there is horrible so we cant do it all and my Heels are number one in the country and there isnt a team in the US colleges that can beat them unless we play the JV team and we beat UNC Asheville with mostly scrubs playing by 68 points, ouch

Yea but the ACC has quite a few championships to there credit not to mention some of teh basketball players to ever grace the sport including his airness
