Ted, do you have anymore info from what you sent me on MySpace yet?  Also, any ideas on when Jeff is gonna start having the pits and what not dug? Wouldn't mind riding down to check it out and maybe help if we can.

I guess this would be a matter of opinion in my mind.  I didn't think the gate fee was high at all when you take into account the ammenities and what not.  I mean 50 bucks for the weekend and 30 for a day and night of camping is cheap in my eyes when you look at the riding, the outdoor bar with live music that doesn't charge a cover, the showers, abundant camping among many other things.  Heck we pay 15 a bike at CCC and another 5-10 per rider and look at that place compared to Rooster's!   Just my 2 cents though.  Ted and Jeff are great guys and run a great place IMO

I dont think they will charge as much as they did for the last ride as long as there isnt a concert also. I paid 150 me, wife, rv spot.
I just hope its not as dusty. This place could be an awesome place if its set up for these type of events.

I paid for me, myself and I! I'm not starting anything or saying your wrong, just saying that if you look at what others are charging the price isn't bad.

From what I have been told, they are gearing the park towards just this and will soon have it set up for every weekend riding and race events with large payouts.  I think people will be surprised by the payouts if this event turns out...

OK...to answer some questions
for the Spring Mud Jam Guaranteed 30k payout will climb quite a bit more as more sponsors are added, I will continually update and monitor this thread to update.
Not sure about admission fee, but will probably be in the $40 for the weekend range. Gates open Thursday til Sunday. Sorry if this is too much for any of you, but we strive to be the best (and many can attest that we dont do things half CREATIVE SPELLING IS NOT ALLOWED), and to be the best costs a little bit more.

After deer season, the property is going to be transformed to an off-road park...pit will be dug...trails will be groomed...etc etc etc. We are looking for some advice, expecially with the area for trucks. (pm me for more info, and to tell me how you can help)

We will have the mud pit, race track, motocross track, sand track, truck area. We will be open every weekend, and will have special events throughout the year.

mudjamted- you'll never know me coming in the gate, lol.  i'm sorry for the price bashing man, but as i told you before,  i have ME, MY wife, and 2 of 4 kids (the twins are to young to enjoy riding right now) that will probably have atv's at the end of the year.  i put in some good hours, and have all the bills and payment budgeted pretty good (or i should say my wife does), and when i ride comes up, heck we put it on the calander with a BIG $$$$ sign.  and when it's going to cost over $100 just to get into the gate, it puts a kicker on the play fund.  we had a handful of friends wanting to go too, all of us have better halfs, so we all had to sit back and pass it over due to the price.

you told me that you were just getting started and you would get things worked out, personally i thought the price should be the first thing looked at for a revamp............if that price holds true (or REALLY close to it), i bet you'll have a really good turn out.  especially with gas going down, and the entrance fee not as harsh, i do belive that would be a good deal!!

keep us updated

Looking forward to this event. The last event might have been a bit dry on some trails but we found some very wet and deep places to play. I have been to most of the parks and events in the south east over the last few years. This is the place !!!!! Had a better time here than Mud Nationals. Bar ,Bands, Showers etc... Now they will be having races !!! 30k plus in $$$$  This should be huge !!!  The entry fees seem very reasonable for what we get. I will work on getting everyone I ride with there and plan on getting some of the 30K !!!

So, what is the word on the Mudpits?!?  Turner, you are supposed to keep me updated on stuff like this!!

IMHO, you will need a muddacross track to go along with the straight pit to really become a "world-class" racing facility.  I already find myself much, much more attracted to the races/parks that are offering night muddacross action "under the lights" with the straight pit race the following afternoon.  Given the trends that I saw this previous year, the parks that "just" have a straight pit aren't going to bring in the bigtime(points) competitions anymore in the future.

With really good Mudpits at Roosters', I can see it quickly becoming my favorite ride/race of the year.  With the proposed payouts(and hopefully a points series getting on board), this should be a great one!!!  Seems like the perfect "gap-filler" between BIDS and NATS to me!
