Anyone else have trouble stripping the allen bolts when taking on and off? I have to cut 2 bolts now
and I just put it on 2 weeks ago. I need to change the oil. I wonder why they don't coome with a hex head?

Anti-seize is your friend!  I used it and have no problems getting mine on and off.

As far as the hex head, they used rounded allen heads so that they wouldn't stick down below the skid plate and snag on stuff.

I just noticed mine the other day when I was trying to get mine off. I guess I'll have to cut them out or weld nuts to them. It sucks for sure! If I'd have known they'd do that then I wouldn've put anti-sieze on them too.

Where can I get anti-sieze and how does it help. I plan on getting new bolts today from Home Depot guess I can stay with the low profile allen bolts.

I had the same problem on the Riccochet's on my 02 Grizz.  I called the MFG they sent me all new bolts and straps no questions asked.

You can get anti-seize at any auto parts store.  It's usually a silver-colored metallic looking paste.  You just smear a little bit on the threads when you bolt it up and it'll come right off when you need it too.

Mine was made by Permatex.

A little anti-sieze goes a long way...be very sparing when you apply it to the bolts.

One other tip, while you have the skid off, take a hole saw and drill a hole for your drain plug, then you can leave the skid on there.
