When ever i put my grizzly into reverse like in mud, snow, or water just above my tires. I get a real bad sputter. Almost like a backfire, could it be my spark arrestor? Anyone got any ideas on what it could be? I have to give it some throttle to make it sputter.

It should do it all of the time...and not just in the water/mud.  Did you buy the bike new or used?

Try it when it's dry, and put a load on it in reverse (like backing up against a tree or something).  If it sputters, then it's normal...if it doesn't sputter, then take it back to the dealer.

Does the Big Bear have an "override" button on the left handle bar controls for this?
