hate to say it but the tcat wins everytime, 09 has more top end but the tcat so far ahead the gade just cant catch him.

i raced a 09 outy and i pulled on him all the way and hit higher speed. im not impressed with the 09 at all besides there looks that is. wish i had that front end

Everything that i have read on the 09's make me happy with my 08.... Honestly I am all about can am... But they dropped the ball on the 09's no ? about it in my mind..... I 'll wait for 2010, There nuts if they think people are gonna want a slower quad when there callin it a faster one, If you detune the bottom end on the biggest fastest machine in your line up there is something wrong, If someone feels the 800 is to strong on the bottem end get a 650 or 500, Aurora wheelers forum has lots of info on this subject.... JMO...

And yes the cat should win...

My Cat spanks my Rene in a drag pretty good but I still love my rene very much because I got it for having fun not racing. It's the funnest sport utility quad out imo. This whole "R" thing is not definitive of what can am stands for (being #1 in power by large margins), that's why I think it's a stall tactic for something bigger. They needed to buy some time because the 990 is not ready yet (this is just my theory which could be bologna). However, the rene R is still satisfying.

I like both of them, and plan on getting a big bike in the spring.  Just since i'm going to spend that much money on an ATV,(knowing they're both bad boys), I want the one that will be the best quality.

I know it is. I'm more than convinced of this because everything makes sense if you think about the timing and what's goin on. I believe in 2010 they're are going to release the SxS and outtie with the same big motor. However, I don't know what's gonna happen to my rene. The motor might be to big to keep the chasis sporty and light and it may not be offered in the rene.

I saw on Dirt Trax TV, that the S x S would be released in 09 as a 2010 model.... Not sure about the Rene or even the Outty with a bigger motor, but I expect something to happen next year...Hurry up and Wait!!!!!!!!!!!

To lay to rest some rumors, the new 09s are faster than the 08s in a straight line drag race

Yes the 09's are definately faster than the 08's we spent half a day testing this out, then we watched a set of tires melt off a rene in reverse. Dang!!!!!!!!

yes, well, sort of.  The 2009 Outlander would outrun the 2008 Renegade X with pipe and power commander.
