i just rebuild the motor and trans on my recon and when i turned the key to start it up for the first time and the green neutral light wasnt on and when i put it back to gether i made shur that it was in neutral, and when i tryed to down shift it wouldnt down shift so then i shifted up and it went to 5th gear but didnt stay in it so i down shifted and it went to 4th but didnt stay in it either, so then when i was in 4th i pulled back on the reverse lever and down shifted and it went to 3rd gear and didnt stay in it so i cant get it to neutral and i am havin probs with it so can some one help

See "Start In Gear Mod" thread, have you tried rocking it back and forth and side to side?

is this on an electric shift or manual shift, year would help also. If it's an electric shift the gear position switch might not of got installed correctly.

it is the es model, but i will try the start in gear mod and see if it works
