I'm rebuilding my buddy's rear diff on his Grizz 660. I'm ready to press the new bearings into the diff. The service manual says to grease the bearings with a soap based lithium grease. My question is do I pack the bearings like you'd pack wheel bearings? or just a thin layer to lube the bearings until the gear oil gets circulated through the bearing...I'm under the impression the gear oil lubes the bearings, so I feel if I pack the bearings the gear oil won't get in..... This is my first diff rebuild so forgive my ignorance, please advise thanks guys......
