I was just wanderin why Arctic Cat started puttin smaller racks on there fourwheelers. Thats one of the reasons im lookin at a Arctic Cat. They had bigger racks then any of the other brands. Im gonna mudd it alot but ill also be yousin it for huntin as well. Do the 08's have the small racks or is it just for 09's.

not sure why they started putting the smaller racks on there but i just bought an 08 700h1 and it has the smaller racks on it.

All 08's, but it's not hard to find the bigger ones, and they bolt right on.

i bought the older racks for my 08 ..it'll cost you about $200 from the dealer,,if you need to carry a deer or use the exterior speedpoints they're worth it

They did it supposedly to shave some weight. But I believe the real reason was to save 34 cents on the racks and make $200 per quad sellin the big racks that were standard equipment back to the consumer as an option.

I would agree.... I like big Racks better myself

Older model big racks are good I guess but Newer model big racks are even better...they need to go back.

I know after market accessory companies were pressuring AC to go with the same size racks as most other manufacturers. Don't know how much that played in their decision.
